Trying To Fix The World | Loka Samasta Sukhino Bhavantu
by Trina Brunk
Sometimes it’s easy to feel over-responsible for the suffering that we see “out there” in the world, and in the process get swept off balance and lose track of the things that are actually in our field of care -- and lose the sense of awe at simply being here, part of it all. This song traces a bit of my journey, a moment when I got a reminder that there is no “out there”; that we’re all connected, and that when we come back to our bodies in this sacred NOW, we can participate in our interconnectedness in ever more life-giving ways. Includes the Sanskrit invocation “Loka Samasta Sukhino Bhavantu: May all Beings be happy and free, and may my life in some way contribute to this happiness and freedom”. Namaste.
