This is the simplicity meditation.
This is going to be all about taking those overwhelming thoughts that happen every single day and finding the clarity,
The purity through all of that.
So as we get started,
Get settled in.
Take a couple deep breaths.
Come back to your center.
Back to this moment.
And let's begin.
My name is Travis Ruskus.
I'm an artist specializing in rock balance.
This is a powerful tool.
To create focus and connection to the present moment.
I'm going to take you on a little bit of a guided meditation.
It should take about five minutes,
And you can return to this again and again at any point of your day,
Whether in the mornings when things start to get overwhelming,
Or in the middle of the day when there might be that downward spiral,
Or in the evening where things are so wound up.
This simplicity meditation will cut through all of it and bring you right back to this current breath of total simplicity.
You So as we begin,
Pick your favorite crystal,
The one that makes you feel the most clear Breathe in nice and full.
And as you exhale gently close your eyes if it's safe to do so.
One more time,
Breathe in.
And if you haven't already,
Close your eyes.
Come back to your breath.
Start to notice the ease.
With every inhale,
Every exhale.
It's effortless.
Powerful.
And as your mind starts to get activated,
Return to the breath.
Keep breathing in.
What I like to do is breathe in simplicity.
As you exhale,
Let it go.
One more time,
Breathe in simplicity.
Exhale and release.
In your mind,
I want you to visualize an ocean.
And that ocean is wild.
The sea is angry.
There's waves a hundred feet high.
The wind blowing a hundred miles an hour.
And all that chaos.
You're there.
Just bobbing on the surface.
Breathing through it,
So as the mind gets activated,
Breathe in.
Exhale it out.
At first it seems chaotic.
But the more that you relax.
.
.
The more you find the simplicity.
You start to notice the waves and patterns.
The air is constant.
So breathe into the simplicity.
Exhale and let it go.
You start to notice the raw beauty of such an angry wild storm.
Here you are in the middle of it.
Breathe through it.
Wow.
You'll start to notice that with each breath you take,
The waves become more gentle.
The wind gets softer.
You start to return to your center again.
Maybe you notice the sun starts to shine through.
The water gets nice and clear.
And you're sitting in the beauty and simplicity of the calm after the storm.
As you feel this sense of calm,
Notice where you feel it the most.
Where does it feel the most clear?
Maybe your belly.
Your heart.
Your throat.
You're back.
In any case,
Wherever you are.
Breathe into that feeling.
Let it wrap your body in pure simplicity,
Pure power.
Pure Calm.
This is what simplicity feels like.
If you want to return to it again and again,
Notice that feeling in your body.
That is your compass to see how simple things really are.
So let's take one more breath.
Bring your awareness back to this room.
Start to wiggle your fingers and your toes.
Breathe in the simplicity.
Exhale and let it all go.
When you're ready.
On your next inhale,
Gently open your eyes.
Bring your focus back to that crystal.
That reminds you of the simplicity.
And welcome back.
That was a nice little journey and I want to remind you that the stormy seas that you felt in the beginning is your mind when it's over activated.
And the calm waters that you felt at the end is your natural state.
So you can return to that at any point in your day,
Regardless of the situation happening around you.
Let's take the final breath.
As we let go of this balance,
I want you to let go of any overwhelm.
Any stress just let it fall to the ground.
So we're going to take three breaths.
And set this free.
As you breathe in your first breath.
Inhale,
Nice and full.
Exhale it out.
Bring your focus back to this breath.
This moment.
Take the second breath.
Lift it up,
Rise it into the sky like a gentle cloud.
And as you exhale,
Relax like a waterfall,
Relaxing all the way down your spine to the bottom of your toes.
And the third breath.
As you breathe in nice and simple,
The most simple,
Pure breath of your day.
Exhale.
And let it all go.
It's time to move forward.
