That's a fun question,
Charlotte.
Are you referring to giving our power away as adults?
Do you think this is true for children as well?
I can't see how children fit into this.
You ask an interesting question,
Which is,
What is their truth.
You can't ever know that.
These things,
These pointers.
Can only be seen in one's direct experience.
And so often trying to see it in somebody else's experience is futile.
And often.
It is a way of.
Avoiding the recognition of it in ourselves.
Whereas if I can't convince myself it applies to everyone,
Therefore it doesn't apply to me.
But I can see in my own experience.
As a child,
It was 100% true.
But the failure to see it.
Isn't a mistake,
It's not wrong.
It's part of the.
.
.
Development.
And what I mean by this in the example.
That the mind usually runs to.
Which is,
You know,
Some version of an extreme that isn't our experience.
You see,
We as human beings,
We look at these outer circumstances.
And we are convinced that There are things that.
.
.
Exist outside of us that inherently create suffering.
Therefore,
We are inherently prisoners to the world.
And for me.
That only shows itself as an innocent misunderstanding.
Not wrong.
It's just a misunderstanding.
As in.
.
.
You can imagine a child.
Touching a hot stove and getting burned.
It is a learning mechanism.
To understand more clearly how the world and being human operates.
And to get burned isn't a punishment.
It's not to say you're a bad human being.
It's just information,
But in the same way a child could get burned.
And.
.
.
Interpret it as such that says I'm a failure,
That says I'm unloved.
And then.
.
.
Experience emotional disturbance over them.
And just as easily,
Another child could get burned and be super curious.
What was that?
How did that happen?
That's not fun.
I don't like that.
Which is very natural.
That's what's supposed to happen.
But you can see in our conditioning and the environment that we grow up in.
As children we go through circumstances and the adults around us project their fear and ultimately convince us in some way that Something has gone horribly wrong.
And we take that on as children.
Which is perfectly appropriate in a way because it's part of the feedback.
Where children take on the conditioning of their environment as an opportunity to heal that conditioning.
In the same way that you have had the conditioning you had.
As an opportunity to see things more clearly,
To heal the conditioning.
And then pass on new conditioning.
And so it's entirely appropriate that children would come into the world and experience.
Projections of fear and misunderstanding.
And to take on those experiences to a new level.
Alchemize them in a way.
And see beyond them.
That's been my journey.
Right?
Like as a child,
I went through all sorts of things that people would say nobody should go through.
But it's only because of those experiences.
That I was able to see beyond them and see more love.
And it's so interesting because,
You know,
The world has its idea of the point of life.
And the world's idea is that People should come into this dimensional experience and never suffer,
Never experience difficulty.
Never have XYZ.
Because the point is to be happy,
To be approved of,
Yada yada yada,
And it's just not the point.
The point,
In a more accurate way,
Is life wants to experience all flavors of being.
It wants to explore all of the corners.
It wants to explore all of the fears as an opportunity to see beyond all of the fears.
It wants to explore all of the areas in which love seems like it's lacking so that it can bring more love.
And that doesn't always look pretty.
It doesn't always look nice and organized for the mind to make sense of it.
Do you see these assumptions that we have collectively?
About what life is about?
And I'm sure you've traveled through many of those assumptions and seen through them.
You saw how out of alignment those assumptions were with reality.
That it doesn't work.
You can bring the same sort of confusion.
Into a relationship.
And have an assumption of what relationships are about.
That are wildly not in alignment with the truth of relationship.
And suffer the consequence of it being out of alignment.
Which effectively looks like you're not getting what you want.
Well,
What you want isn't how relationships work.
It's kind of like wanting the fire to not burn you.
It doesn't matter if you want it to be that way.
It's not the way it is.
