That's one of the things I love about the relationship we share as human beings in the way that we support each other getting through.
Not as if we're getting through something that's arduous and unpleasant,
But we are supporting each other to Keep going on a miraculous journey.
As I show up and add value to your life,
Then you share value with me.
That helps me keep going.
And my value to you helps you keep going.
It's such a beautiful exchange.
It makes me fall in love with the opportunity in my own life to show up more fully and serve and love others.
Just because of that fundamental mechanism where what you give comes back to you.
And I remember,
You know,
Way back on the early days,
The sort of education in some way was to teach you how to take.
From the world.
And not so much how to give to the world.
Like if you want to survive and get everything you want,
You have to take from the world.
And more so like to see that you're already whole and complete.
To see past all of the nonsense about what's really important in life.
It becomes very obvious that I am here to give.
And in my giving,
I'm ultimately giving to myself.
Because of that mechanism,
It comes back around.
You receive what you give.
Like if your fundamental assumption is that you are here to get something from the world,
At the same time you're fundamentally saying you're missing something.
And that's an interesting perspective of separation.
That I don't see is actually true.
It distorts the orientation of how you show up in life.
It's almost like an adversarial position.
Where here you are separate from what you want and need,
And therefore you must figure out how to take it from the world.
And the more you try and do that,
The more you reinforce how separate you are.
And furthermore,
I guess,
In a way that grounds it a bit for me,
Like in the desire to receive as a reflection of what I give.
There can be the trap of,
Oh,
I want to receive to fulfill all of my fantasies of wanting.
And then there's the deeper reality of what I actually want,
Which is so much smaller than that fantasy.
That life effortlessly provides for,
As a reflection of what I give.
Where it's like those fantasies of wanting,
If they remain unfulfilled,
It's just not a big deal.
And I see that,
I was just talking to my wife about this last night,
Where in the Western culture,
I'm exhausted by the fantasies of building self-importance.
We celebrate people who separate themselves from the whole and position themselves as better than everyone else.
And that's wild to me because so often,
You know,
And even in what I do,
Like I was talking to her and it's like,
I literally talk to people who have so much more money than I've ever had in my entire life.
And yet they have no love in their life.
I've talked to people who have won all the contests and gotten the trophies.
And yet,
They have the deepest difficulty in being emotionally open with people that they love.
So it's like no matter what is celebrated on the surface in our separate individuality,
The thing that actually makes life worth living my gosh,
It has nothing to do with that.
And so in the West,
I see such a huge distraction.
And it's perfectly fine because it facilitates the learning.
Like there's the opportunity to lose yourself in it so you see that it's not there.
And there's nothing wrong with that.
It's just an optional path of learning.
And it's an interesting invitation,
Right?
You could look at all of those wants that you have related to being enough in the world.
And ask yourself,
Would you trade it all?
For a life rested in the heart of God,
As one way of saying it.
For a life that lives with an infinite supply of love within you.
Where you don't care if anybody knows you.
You don't care if the world,
The insane world,
Loves you.
It's like it's just irrelevant.
And it's interesting too,
Because if you look at all of those wants in the world,
It's like,
Well,
What are you trying to get at?
What will be the conclusion if you get all of those prizes?
And the conclusion is,
I will finally be enough.
Okay,
But what if you saw that you're already enough?
Would you still want all those things?
Would you want to exhaust yourself in that way?
If you already have what you're ultimately trying to get.
And furthermore,
As maybe you've seen,
No matter what you seem to acquire in the world It doesn't satisfy the longing to be enough.
Because it's illusionary in nature in the same way that the illusion could be,
Okay,
If a million people love me,
Then I'll finally feel like I'm enough.
And then you get a million people who think they love you,
But they don't even know you.
And then you're like,
Huh,
Maybe it's 2 million.
And so then you chase two million.
And eventually you realize,
Wait,
This doesn't work at all.
Same with money.
If only I had a billion dollars,
I could finally be at peace.
Doesn't work that way.
Why?
Because all of that is a product of mind,
Which is an illusion.
It's not real.
And what you're looking for is something real.
Is that clear?
And the realness of what you're looking for,
You already have.
Which is part of the fascinating dynamic of the spiritual truth,
Which is that everything that is real You already have.
It's your birthright.
It's inherent.
And it can't be taken by anyone or any circumstances.
It is the way of things.
But again,
As human beings,
We are so lost in our dream of a life and disconnected from the life that is a beautiful illustration of this.
I don't even know if I want to get into this,
But it's so loud in my own experience,
Like.
When I eat food-like products.
Which is I don't eat food that comes from nature itself.
I feel terrible.
Like I can't think straight.
I feel incredibly unhealthy.
I lose motivation,
Yada,
Yada,
Yada.
And then as soon as I have a period of time of only putting food in my body that is real food,
I feel amazing.
Do you see the illustration of being disconnected from the real?
Like the world,
They have their fake version of things.
Like here,
Let's put together this food that we will chemically manipulate to stimulate regions in your brain that convince you that you like this and therefore become addicted to it.
But it doesn't actually come from nature.
And doesn't complement the miracle of your biology.
But we'll make some money on it.
We divorce ourself from the real,
And we wonder why we feel so disconnected.
And again,
It's not wrong.
I see it as just a necessary gate that we have to pass through as a human species.
It's just part of the process.
And then individually,
People look at their own experience and they see that it's not working.
So they turn away from the way of the world and come back to what is deeply authentic and sincere and true and live their own lives.
They stop playing the game of the world.
But in order to do that,
You have to give up what you want from the world.
Which is no,
I'm going to live life in alignment with what is sincere for me and honest and true and all humility.
And I'm going to let you think whatever you want about me.
