Freedom isn't gain.
It's seen as already present.
We see that we've been free the whole time.
But we haven't allowed it because we wanted something else.
We traded our freedom.
For validation in the world.
We traded our freedom for the temporary high of feeling right.
We traded our freedom for the ability to judge others.
So that we could feel right.
Again,
Speaking to my own experience,
I don't see that anybody in this life has ever hurt me.
But I understand that that can be the perspective.
Even for those who have punched me in the face,
I'm not my body.
So whatever is done to the body isn't happening to me.
And the emotional disturbance.
Is only in response to my perception.
Nobody else can give me an emotional experience.
Furthermore,
Nobody could actually understand me,
So everyone doesn't understand me.
It's just the truth.
I'm okay with the truth being the truth.
Why would I want to be understood when it's not really possible?
Really,
The voice that says I want to be understood is saying I want to understand myself.
Just like the voice that says,
I want to be seen.
Who do you think you're talking to?
And we confuse it and say,
I want to be seen by others.
There are no others,
There's only the one.
There's so many innocent misunderstandings and it's all completely understandable.
They are a product of our conditioning,
Which isn't wrong.
It's just,
It is what it is.
And we're working our way through it.
To see things more clearly.
And it's a beautiful adventure.
You know,
All in all.
My goodness.
I want to honor the struggle that you're going through.
But I also want to invite you to look more deeply.
At what's actually true.
And both of those things can be held.
We don't need to reject.
The reality of our humanity.
It is part of it.
It is the doorway to God's heart.
And so often.
We spend so much time rejecting our humanity.
It's like we are throwing out the keys.
And I understand it.
It can be difficult.
It can be scary.
But I see.
