Often it's so common to blame the illness.
For the suffering that we are experiencing.
And I always found that to be a fascinating thing because It's very similar to blaming another person.
For what's happening within us.
And not just what's happening within us as if there's an illness happening.
But what's happening within us as it relates to our perception that creates emotional disturbance.
Where we blame another person or we blame the illness for our interpretation that sees ourselves as less than.
And I find that fascinating.
In the same way that we could.
Withhold love from another human being.
Because they're not being how we want.
We can withhold love from illness.
And say that it's in the way when it's just being what it is?
Which,
Of course.
.
.
Invites a beautiful reframe where we can restore the flow of love to the illness.
And thank it for being what it is because it is a messenger.
It is the messenger that is ultimately inviting us to.
.
.
Heal the way in which we show up?
Which is to heal the way in which we see ourselves.
You see that,
Yeah,
Like in the way that we blame another person.
When there's emotional disturbance involved.
There's an interpretation that says,
Because you are the way that you are,
I see myself as less than.
And I'm suffering over the perspective I have about myself.
Seeing myself as separate.
And I'm blaming you for that,
And we do the same with illness.
We can do the same with circumstance.
It's like blaming God.
Dear God,
Because you're not doing what I want,
I see myself as not enough and it's your fault.
And for me,
You know.
This is what I mean by.
.
.
Total experiential accountability or radical self-honesty.
Getting honest about the real issue.
Getting honest about what's really going on.
What I'm doing to myself.
And getting honest that it's not actually being done by somebody else.
And as it relates to emotional disturbances.
It's emphatically true that other people cannot make me feel certain emotions.
That all responds to how I see.
And that can be hard to acknowledge.
But if we're going to.
.
.
Find a real solution.
We have to address the reality of what's happening.
And furthermore,
It's to acknowledge how powerful you are.
Rather than proclaiming other people have power over you.
If you want to give your power away.
You're perfectly allowed to do so.
But where is the real solution in that?
And at the same time,
I understand how difficult it can be.
But it doesn't make it less true.
There's an intentionality behind difficulty.
Turning away from hard things.
Is turning away from the opportunity that they come with.
There's a beautiful embrace of what appears to be difficult things in life as a human being.
In the same way as.
Turning towards the things we are afraid of.
Is difficult,
But.
.
.
Rewarding in the way that you see beyond those fears.
And find only love.
We must be willing to face that difficulty.
