Good morning and welcome to a brand new day.
Today is filled with infinite possibilities.
Anything is possible.
I invite you to do this guided meditation from the comfort of your bed.
This is a great meditation to save and do first thing in the morning as part of your morning routine while you're still comfortable and cozy underneath your sheets.
Sometimes it can be challenging to keep a morning practice.
It's so easy to grab our phones and look at social media or email.
This guided meditation is an alternative solution to starting your day mindfully,
To waking up slowly and giving yourself the nurturance,
Pep talk,
And encouragement that you need each and every day before engaging and interacting with the world.
Get comfortable in wherever you are.
Keep your eyes open and begin to just look around the room.
Maybe you can spot the sunlight dancing as the sun is rising.
Maybe you can catch the dust floating through the new air.
Maybe you see a fur baby,
A puppy,
Or a kitty that you love to cuddle and snuggle first thing in the morning.
Or maybe it's just you and you can cuddle cozier into your blanket and become hyper aware of the softness of your sheets and of your pillow.
Become aware of your breath.
Feel the coolness of the air enter through your nostrils,
Reminding you of the fresh new opportunity that this day presents to you now.
Today is a new day filled with infinite potential.
And you've already made the best choice possible by starting your day mindfully.
As you breathe,
Become aware of all the many blessings in your life.
Think of all of the people who you love and who love you that bring joy and support,
Laughter,
Friendship,
Connection and depth into your life every single day.
In your mind,
Repeat,
Thank you for my friends.
Thank you for my family.
Thank you for all of the good people in my life.
Keep breathing.
As you look around the room and find comfort in your sanctuary,
Begin to think in your mind about all the many things you're grateful for that give you comfort in your home.
And in your mind,
Repeat,
Thank you for this home.
Thank you for shelter.
Thank you for my bed.
Thank you for these blankets.
Thank you for my clothes.
Thank you for my furniture.
Thank you for all the many things in my home that add comfort and ease to my life each and every day.
Continue to breathe.
Continue to feel your heart expand with loving awareness as you contemplate all of the things you're grateful for in your life.
Think about the world outside of your home.
Think about the sky and the sun.
Think about the earth,
The trees,
The grass.
Think about the rain and the water,
The ocean and all of the sentient living beings that walk this planet.
Become aware of the world around you that you exist in right now.
A world of miracles more beautiful than comprehension.
How did this world even come to be?
And in your mind,
Repeat,
Thank you for this planet.
Thank you for the water and the living soil.
Thank you for the sunshine.
Thank you for the moonlight.
Thank you for this air.
Thank you to all sentient living beings,
The plants and the animals.
Thank you.
Continue to deepen your breath.
Continue to fill your heart with love.
Bring your awareness to your body.
Bring your awareness to yourself.
Play on all of the memories of your life,
The totality of your journey that has led you to this moment here now.
Contemplate the infinite potential of the unknown future.
And all of the many blessings that await you.
And then repeat in your mind,
Thank you for my life.
Thank you for the opportunity to live,
To feel,
To see,
To taste,
To hear,
To think,
To dream,
To love.
Thank you for the opportunity to live another day.
May I continue to keep the big picture awareness as I rise today.
May I continue to find gratitude in all the small moments of my life.
May I bring joy and laughter and love and support,
Connection and depth with me wherever I go.
May I contribute peace and happiness to the lives of everyone I interact with today.
May I remember that this life is a gift.
This earth is a gift.
All of the things that I have are a gift.
And all of the people in my life are a gift.
