Heart awakening guided meditation and sound bath.

Set the intention of gifting yourself the next 25 minutes to relax and sink into your heart.

Close your eyes.

Allow yourself to arrive and settle.

Start to bring awareness to your breath.

Deepen your breath.

Breathe in.

Breathe out.

As you inhale,

Your lungs fill with air and as you exhale,

The worries and stress of the day fall away.

There is nothing to do in this moment but to stay with your breath.

Take your attention to your legs.

Notice them grow heavy,

Warm and soft.

Relax your hips,

Buttocks and groin.

Let the muscles in your stomach and chest smile and relax.

Now release all the weight you carry in your shoulders.

Give yourself permission to let go completely and you notice all the weight starting to fall off you.

Soften your jaw,

Cheeks,

Eyes,

Nose and ears.

Your whole face relaxes.

Your forehead softens,

Your brain melts and your entire skull relaxes.

A sense of calm and peace starts to flow into your entire being as you begin to take your attention to your heart.

Focus on your heart.

Tune in and listen to your heartbeat.

When the mind is given the task to feel,

The heart is told not to feel,

Confusion and discomfort are often experienced.

For the next few minutes,

Allow your mind to sink into your heart.

Visualize a beautiful spark of light in your heart.

See the spark of light inside your heart grow.

It expands into a ball of light and keeps growing.

It warms the area of your heart.

It melts any barriers you might have set up here and your heart starts to relax.

Allow yourself to feel what it's like to be connected with your center.

Visualize your heart smiling as you smile right back at it.

Trees and tree.

Thank your heart for beating for you.

Ask your heart to let go of fear.

Ask your heart to let go of anger.

Ask your heart to trust.

Let your heart become open and fast.

With each breath,

Allow your heart to open just a bit more.

Allow your heart to feel grateful.

Allow your heart to feel love.

Allow it to feel joy.

If you're finding it difficult to connect with these feelings,

Ask your heart,

What might it be like if I can feel grateful?

What might it be like if I can feel love?

What might it be like if I can feel joy?

You feel the warmth of your heart and you feel protected and safe.

This is the time for your heart to speak to you.

As you enjoy the sound of the gong,

Pay close attention and listen to your heart.

If you can't hear a message,

Try asking,

What might it be like if I could hear what my heart is trying to tell me?

If you can't hear,

Start to take attention back to your body.

Feel the warmth in your heart and the light dancing in and around your heart.

Because of life experiences and through pain,

Many of us have kept our hearts close to some degree,

Towards life,

Towards others,

Even towards ourselves.

I share with you from Khalil Gibran on pain,

Your pain is the breaking of the shell that encloses your understanding.

Even as the stone of the fruit must break that its heart may stand in the sun,

So must you know pain.

And could you keep your heart in wonder at the daily miracles of your life,

Your pain would not seem less wondrous than your joy.

And you would accept the seasons of your heart and you would watch with serenity through the winters of your grief.

I hope that you find the courage to stay with the warmth in your heart,

To always keep your heart open,

Remembering that there is no growth without discomfort,

No light without darkness and no joy without pain.

Start to bring movement to your fingers and toes.

Wrap your arms around yourself and give yourself a big hug.

If you're lying down,

Roll over to one side with your eyes still closed,

Slowly coming back to a seated position.

Let's take a full breath in,

Release with a loud sigh.

Slowly open your eyes.
