Thor Bremer is a meditation teacher, artist, and educator whose work bridges classical Buddhist practice, contemporary psychology, science and embodied experience. He is currently completing formal meditation teacher training and teaches primarily mindfulness of breathing, with an emphasis on direct experience, felt sense and insight grounded in daily life. Thor’s teaching style is experiential and inquiry-based, inviting students to explore how perception, feeling tone, identity, and suffering arise moment to moment—and how they can gently unwind. His classes integrate silent practice, guided meditation, short teachings, and simple embodied experiments designed to support clarity, trust, and ease rather than striving or self-improvement. In addition to his meditation work, Thor is a composer, performer, sound designer and adjunct professor at Columbia College Chicago, where he teaches game audio and interactive media. His background in music, sound, technology and education strongly informs his approach to meditation and its teaching. Thor teaches meditation online and in small groups, offering a grounded, honest approach that respects both traditional wisdom and modern life.
