This meditation explores craving as it appears in direct experience—the pull toward what we want, the push away from what we don’t want, and the urge for experience to be different than it is. Rather than trying to get rid of craving, the practice is to notice it clearly: how it feels in the body, how it captures attention, and how quickly it can turn a simple feeling into wanting, resisting, or reaching for something else. This practice is part of a series exploring the 12 Links of Dependent Origination through direct meditation experience. It can help develop greater awareness of habitual wanting, aversion, reactivity, and the space available before those impulses become action.
