In this meditation, we explore what it’s like to experience sensation directly before the mind turns it into a label, judgment, preference, or story. Beginning with simple contact with the body, the breath, sound, and the environment, the practice invites you to become more sensitive to the actual textures of experience: pressure, temperature, movement, sound, light, breath, and touch. Rather than trying to change what you feel, you’ll practice letting sensation simply be sensation by noticing what is actually happening before it becomes something else. This meditation is part of a series exploring the 12 Links of Dependent Origination and focuses on contact and sensation: the moment where our experience meets the world.
