Close your eyes and with one hand open and the other closed,

Breathe.

Feel the earth beneath you.

There are six billion others at this moment connected to the same ground,

All with their suffering or ecstasy.

Most people feel like they do what they do for the best reason.

Forget how you feel.

Have empathy.

Your open hand represents the pushing away of the unpleasant.

The closed is a symbol of grasping for the opposite.

Know that both these actions cause suffering.

Breathe instead.

You and six billion others are here.

This is happening.

The space you are in right now,

The sounds that fill your universe.

Love everyone for who they can be as you love yourself.

Look inward to an expanding warmth,

An orange glow of love which envelops the planet.

Breathe.

And now awaken to the great big now.
