Sound Is Like The Sea

The sound is like the sea: successive waves whose distance between the summits varies. This is the wavelength, it is measured in meters. The time elapses between the passage of two wave peaks, it is "the time period." The acoustic wave propagates in air, in water and in dense materials at different speeds.
