If you have low self-esteem,
A great way to help you to get out of that is to affirm.
Affirmations are very,
Very powerful.
You see,
Things start off as a thought,
And then they become words,
And then they become experiences.
And when we have low self-esteem,
It's very difficult to see ourselves in a good light,
In a powerful light,
Because we just feel shot.
We feel low on ourselves.
We can't see it.
Whatever the reason is,
Whether it's your upbringing,
Whether it's a past relationship,
Whether it's a demeaning boss,
Whatever.
You can start to get out of those yucky,
Nasty,
Low self-esteem feelings by affirming.
And this is what that means.
Whatever it is.
Whatever it is,
That greatest compliment you could think of for yourself.
Okay.
And for some of us,
It is a stretch at first,
I will admit.
So if you have nothing you could think of that is good about yourself,
If you're really feeling that low,
Honey,
You're not alone and rescue and help is on the way.
Here's what you do.
That one compliment that you received.
Start with that.
You didn't receive a compliment?
Okay,
Something that you like about someone else?
Start with that.
You see?
People say that when we compliment another person,
It's because we actually are seeing a reflection of our highest self in them.
So,
If you've got to start with that cool thing that you like about that movie star or about that coach in your life,
Start there.
But start with thinking about something positive for yourself and start to affirm it.
And that means.
Making a statement that is positive and present tense about yourself.
You know,
I'm really smart.
I'm smart.
I'm smart.
And you can do this to yourself in your head.
You can really do it when you're in the mirror getting ready.
You can do it when you're in the shower.
You can do it before bed.
That cool thing,
You know.
I did great at my workout today.
I'm strong.
I'm healthy,
I'm powerful.
Whatever it is.
Affirm.
Affirm.
Affirm.
This is you planting the seeds to change that person.
Programming that does not serve you anymore.
You deserve to have high self-esteem.
Saying and thinking good things about yourself,
It is not conceited,
It is not wrong,
It is perfect.
Because you are perfection.
You are.
Meaningful.
You're needed.
You have a purpose because you're here and you're breathing.
Honey,
Don't you worry about anything those people said,
Or didn't say,
Or all the times that you didn't get credit for your awesomeness.
You start.
And think of the highest things you can for yourself and affirm them.
In your head or out loud in the mirror or in the darkness before you sleep.
Do this and watch things change.
You are worth it.
You are amazing.
You are loved.
