It's time for a moment of grounding.
If you're comfortable,
Close your eyes.
If not,
Just soften your gaze.
However you're seated,
Notice the points of connection between your body and the earth.
Notice what's supporting you,
Whether it's the ground beneath your feet,
Maybe your bed supporting your back.
Whatever that source of support is,
Put your focus there,
Cultivating a sense of being grounded and supported.
And now we'll begin to access our breath.
Exhale your air all the way out.
Inhale through your nose and exhale through your nose.
Next,
Inhale.
Make sure that your shoulders aren't rising as you inhale.
And as you exhale,
Send that energy down to the earth,
To whatever's supporting you.
Inhale,
Filling yourself up with this sense of support.
And exhale,
Strengthening that connection.
Inhale,
Feeling supported.
And exhale,
Feeling connected to the earth.
Continue inhaling and exhaling,
Letting your belly fill up with support.
And exhaling,
Bringing your awareness back to the ground beneath you.
Continue breathing at your own pace,
Returning to whatever is normal for you in this moment.
And when you're ready,
You can open your eyes.
