Welcome to today's meditation.
Be free to be grateful.
Let's start by finding a comfortable position and close our eyes.
Take a deep,
Slow breath through your nose,
Saying our mantra B.
And then a long cleansing breath out through your mouth,
Saying our mantra free.
Continue your slow cleansing breaths and our mantra.
Be free while you listen to my words.
Let's bring to mind just one thing you are grateful for at this very moment.
For most of you,
It is probably a family member,
Your spouse,
Your child,
A parent.
While for others,
Material objects may be what you are grateful for.
Your home,
Your car,
An expensive object you finally obtained.
While others may be grateful for their good health,
Their happiness,
Or for the good health and happiness of the ones they love.
Whatever you are grateful for,
The feeling we have inside tends to be the same.
An overwhelming joy or relief and having this wonderful person or thing we hoped or prayed for.
Dreams achieved,
Prayers answered.
Each day,
Each minute of our life,
There is something we can find to be grateful for.
In every situation,
We can find a positive.
Even bad situations have that little ray of hope we can find if we truly try.
For instance,
If you were late for work because of a traffic jam caused by an accident,
Perhaps.
You would first be grateful for that you were not involved in that accident.
Then you could also be grateful simply because you do have transportation to your job.
Then grateful you have a job.
Grateful for the pay from the job to buy what you need to support yourself or your family.
Then grateful for your family.
And it goes on and on.
See it's a trickle down effect.
Find one thing you are grateful for,
Then others just seem to follow.
Your list could be endless.
You may not remember how minuscule the thing you are grateful for is,
But just that you feel that gratitude and the positive effects of it,
Not only on your mood and mental health,
But how others perceive you and your effect on them.
So instead of dwelling on the negatives in life and what we don't have.
Let's turn it around to realize all we do have.
And how different you will feel in your life will be so slowly open your eyes.
And I hope you spend at least today thinking of all you are grateful for and bring that ray of sunshine out to even the tough situations.
Be the light in someone's day and don't want anyone steal your sunshine.
Now let's go out and to be free to be grateful.
