Welcome to your 5 minute midday break meditation.
Find a quiet place to sit down where you won't be disturbed for the next 5 minutes.
Sit comfortably with your back straight and your feet firmly planted on the ground.
Take a deep breath in through your nose,
Hold it for a few seconds on the top and then exhale slowly through your mouth.
Repeat this process by yourself for another 3 times,
Focusing your attention on your breath and letting go of any tension.
Beautiful.
Once you've settled into a comfortable breathing rhythm,
Begin to visualize a place that makes you feel calm and relaxed.
It could be a beach,
A forest,
A mountain or any other place that brings you a sense of peace.
As you visualize this place,
Imagine yourself stepping into it and feeling the warmth of the sun on your skin or the cool breeze on your face.
Take in the sights,
Sounds and smells around you and fully allow yourself to immerse in this experience.
Inviting you to continue to breathe deeply and consciously while visualizing your peaceful place and repeating the following information to yourself.
I am calm,
Focused and energized.
As the 5 minute mark approaches,
Slowly bring your awareness back to your body.
Take one last deep breath and when you are ready,
Gently open your eyes,
Feeling refreshed and ready to tackle the rest of your day.
Remember that taking a few minutes out of your schedule to meditate and to recharge can do wonders for your energy and productivity.
