Most guided meditations teach people to do something. Observe. Relax. Let go. Accept. Return. This one is about discovering something. There's an important difference. Instead of just observing your thoughts, quietly ask, "What is here before the next thought arrives?" Don't answer, experience it. Imagine awareness as a room. Thoughts are people walking through it. You don't need to greet every person. You don't need to ask where they're going. You don't need them to leave. You simply notice that the room remains. That's a subtle shift. It points away from chasing or rejecting thoughts and toward recognizing the stability of awareness itself.
