Mindfulness is “simply being present on purpose without judgement.” Breath awareness is a core practice of mindfulness. It’s easy to pay attention to your breath anywhere you are. This practice helps you to be in touch with the present moment, as your breath is happening in the present moment. If your attention is exclusively focused on your breathing you’re less likely to get caught up in thinking and worrying. When your mind wanders, gently, and without judgment, bring it back to your breath.
