Hi there and welcome to this session.
So today we're going to be blending Ho'oponopono which is an ancient forgiveness practice with EFT tapping to help you release what's really been feeling heavy on your heart.
Ho'oponopono uses four really simple phrases which are I'm sorry,
Please forgive me,
Thank you and I love you and you give the meaning to the words without feeling pressured or forced to forgive.
Sometimes it's really helpful to start with the prayer and doing the tapping for yourself.
So you might like to bring to mind whoever or whatever needs forgiving today,
Whether that is someone else,
Whether you're just going to focus on yourself for now.
A gentle reminder here that forgiveness is for your peace not for anyone else's.
So we're going to begin now so take a nice grounding breath in through the nose as we ground into this space together and then exhaling through the mouth when you're ready and just releasing as you exhale just letting your shoulders drop,
Softening in the tummy.
Okay so let's get started tapping on the side of the hand repeating after me either out loud or in your mind reminding yourself that by tapping along with me you agree to take full responsibility for your own well-being.
So repeating after me I'm sorry,
Please forgive me,
Thank you,
I love you and then we're going to go through the point so tapping on the eyebrow I'm sorry,
Please forgive me,
Thank you,
I love you.
Moving to the side of the eye,
I'm sorry,
Please forgive me,
Thank you,
I love you.
Under the eye,
Remember to breathe,
I'm sorry,
I'm sorry,
Please forgive me,
Thank you,
I love you.
Under the nose,
I'm sorry,
Please forgive me,
Thank you,
I love you.
Chin points,
I'm sorry,
I'm sorry,
Please forgive me,
Thank you,
I love you.
Collarbone,
I'm sorry,
Please forgive me,
Thank you,
I love you.
So take a breath here and sigh it out.
Let's continue tapping under the arm,
I'm sorry,
Please forgive me,
Thank you,
I love you.
Top of the head,
I'm sorry,
Please forgive me,
Thank you,
I love you.
Thank you,
I love you.
Okay,
So we're going to do another round now with different phrases.
I really would love you to feel into the energy of these phrases as you tap through each point.
Will you notice how it feels to bring this compassionate forgiveness into your mind and body?
Okay,
So just tapping on the eyebrow points,
Remember to breathe.
Repeating after me,
I've been holding onto this feeling for a while.
Side of the eye,
It's really hard to forgive sometimes.
Under the eye,
I'm sorry for all the pain I've been carrying.
Under the nose,
Please forgive me for being so hard on myself.
Someone can feel a bit emotional,
So just keep tapping and breathing.
Chin points,
Thank you for being patient with me.
Collarbone,
I love you and I choose to forgive.
Under the arm,
It's safe to let this go.
It's safe to let this go.
Back to the top of the head,
I'm sorry,
Please forgive me.
Thank you,
I love you.
Okay,
Stop tapping there.
Close your eyes,
Place both hands on your heart and let's whisper that prayer again to your heart.
I'm sorry,
Really let it sink in,
Please forgive me.
Thank you,
I love you and just take a moment to notice how your body feels now,
Whether it's lighter,
Calmer or just a little bit softer.
Take a moment to sit with this energy of release and forgiveness.
Notice the spaciousness and openness within you,
Within your heart.
Open your eyes and remembering that forgiveness is not about excusing anything that might have happened,
But it's about freeing yourself from the weight of it.
You've really done something powerful today by showing up for yourself in this way,
So you can really thank yourself for this gift.
Thank you for tapping with me,
Take care of yourself.
