Hi Lovebugs,
This meditation is to help you reduce anxiety.
This is Steph and thank you so much for joining me today.
With your next breath and in your comfortable space,
Go ahead and close your eyes.
And now just pay attention to your breath for a moment.
Perhaps you want to put a hand on your chest and a hand on your belly.
Notice how your breath flows within your body.
Is it going into your belly?
Is it going into your chest?
Is it deep?
Is it shallow?
Does it flow smoothly?
Does it get stuck anywhere?
Just pay attention to your breath for a moment.
Very well.
It's just gathering information for you to learn your body and your breath.
And now I want you to breathe in to the count of four and exhale to the count of four.
Breathing into your belly,
Letting it fill up and then exhale out.
Just allowing yourself to breathe,
Taking in a bit of a deeper breath than you were before.
Going into this moment,
Reminding yourself that when anxiety shows up,
You can turn to your breath and remind yourself that you're strong,
You'll be okay and that you're here in this moment right now.
Reminding yourself that you're safe,
That you'll be okay.
Reminding yourself of the resources that are within you.
Reminding yourself that you always find a way to be okay.
You always come through and that the anxiety moves on eventually,
Even if it does show up again.
Now I want you to take a moment and visualize yourself driving.
You're at the wheel of a car,
The wheel of your life.
And notice that anxiety is the passenger next to you,
Sitting in the front seat.
Perhaps this anxiety is staring at you,
Scooting closer to you as you're driving down your life path,
The road of your life.
And you notice that anxiety tries to take the wheel from you and it feels really uncomfortable because you want to remain in control and continue to drive the wheel of your car down your road of life.
And so now just take a moment and tell anxiety whatever you need to say.
Perhaps you tell anxiety that anxiety can be a passenger in the car and they get to sit in the back seat in silence.
Anxiety can look out the window,
Can play on a tablet,
Can write in its journal.
However anxiety stays in the back seat and you continue to drive down the road of your life,
You remaining control.
And you notice that whatever it is you had to say to anxiety,
Anxiety listened.
Anxiety went to the back seat of your life car and anxiety quieted down.
Anxiety is in the back seat just chilling.
Sometimes anxiety wants to remind you that he's still there and you can acknowledge anxiety and say yes I see you,
I see you there,
I see you trying to protect me,
Trying to prepare me and I'm here to reassure you that I've got this,
That I'm strong,
That I'm resilient and I can handle any bump on this road in my life.
I can handle any of the challenges,
Any of the storms,
Any of the obstacles that your life car is designed to help you succeed and overcome and to be able to move through the challenges that show up on this road of life.
And every time you reassure anxiety,
Anxiety quiets back down and you're able to come back into the moment that you're in and enjoy your life reminding yourself that you are in control of this wheel,
You are in control of your life,
You get to make the choices that support your journey,
You get to choose the turns and the paths this car goes down.
And now maybe you want to invite your higher self to sit in the front as your passenger and maybe there's times when you want your higher self to take over the wheel.
Go ahead and have a conversation with your higher self now.
Invite your higher self to the front seat to the passenger side and let your higher self know when you would want them to guide you to help navigate and maybe there are times when you want your higher self to take over the wheel and maybe not.
That's okay too.
Just have that conversation with your higher self now and noticing as you're talking to your higher self that the anxiety is staying quiet in the back seat.
Very well,
Now as you're driving down this road of life in your amazingly strong and resilient life car and you're driving,
Imagine the signs you will see on this road of life.
What will the signs that you pass say?
Will they remind you that you've got this?
That you're strong?
That you're brave and courageous?
That you're loved?
That you're enough?
That you matter?
And that this present moment is here for you to support you?
That you can handle whatever shows up?
All the good?
The bad?
That you've got this?
What will your signs say?
See them now?
Very well.
Now just take a moment and appreciate your ability to have control and remain in control of the wheel that guides your car down your life road.
And thank your passengers for honoring you,
For listening to your guidance,
To supporting you.
And when you're ready,
Go ahead and return to your breath.
Having gratitude for the work and the boundaries that you just set.
Realizing yourself that you matter,
That you're enough,
You're loved,
You're incredible.
And you're worthy of a life where you get to drive your car down your life road with anxiety in the backseat just chilling.
Go ahead and just notice your breath one more time.
Notice if it's flowing more smoothly within you.
Taking in another deep breath if that feels really good to you into your belly.
Filling yourself up with oxygen.
Reminding yourself that those deep breaths that fill your entire body with oxygen and nourishment help keep the anxiety in the backseat of your life car.
And when you're ready,
With your next exhale,
Go ahead and open your eyes,
Return to your day and remember how incredible you are,
How resilient you are and let that guide your confidence to go through the rest of your day.
If you notice that the anxiety stayed in your backseat,
Go ahead and hit subscribe.
Go ahead and comment what you notice that your sign said.
Have an amazing day.
You matter.
You're phenomenal and I'm sending you so much love.
Thanks for being here.
