Welcome to this grounding meditation to bring you into your body,

Connecting you with your power center so that you can have clarity for your next steps in whatever question you are holding.

Make your way to a comfortable seat,

Supporting your spine,

Placing your feet on the ground,

Or if it's more comfortable,

Have them tucked under you in a comfortable cross-legged position,

Allowing yourself to arrive exactly in this moment,

Knowing that you are okay to soften your shoulders,

Sink deeper into the cushion upon which you sit,

To soften the place between your brows,

And to gently release your jaw.

Notice how good that feels to let go.

As you feel the wave of softening,

Gently bring your awareness to your breath.

Bring your awareness to the quality of your inhalation and exhalation,

And if it feels good,

You can gently invite your inhale and exhale to lengthen.

With each inhale,

Send your breath deep into your belly,

Expanding your ribcage,

Allowing your chest to rise,

And with each exhale,

Gently allowing your chest to fall,

Ribcage to shrink,

And your belly to soften.

Following each inhalation and exhalation as if it were a gentle wave,

Take a couple rounds to simply be with your breath,

Feeling how good it feels to be in this moment and to be you,

With nothing to do,

Nowhere to be,

Just to simply breathe.

Now,

I invite you to bring your awareness to your central channel.

There's a long line of energy that runs from the base of your spine all the way up to the top of your crown,

Your central channel,

Connecting in with this energetic space within your subtle bodies.

Simply notice,

Maybe you feel something,

Maybe not,

It's okay,

Just be,

And then on the next exhale,

You can envision that you have a long line of energy running through that central channel.

It sends a cord all the way down from the top of your head to your forehead,

Your throat,

Your chest,

Your upper belly,

Your lower belly,

The base of your spine,

And sends an anchor all the way down to mother earth,

Through the different layers,

Sediment,

All the way down to the very center core,

Grounding you deeply into the life-giving nourishment that we receive from mother earth,

And this is a reciprocal relationship,

Feeling how you are not separate from earth,

But you are connected,

You are a part of this whole ecosystem that we live within.

Next I invite you to place your hands on your belly,

And just send your breath there,

Noticing if you feel any tension,

Any squeezing,

And if you do,

Can you let that go?

This is the heart of earth,

Has this frequency,

This rhythm,

This beat,

So do we,

And we can have a lot of resonance with that in our belly,

So about two or three fingers above,

There's an area that you can tap into,

Above your belly button,

That you can tap into,

That beats at the same frequency as mother earth,

So anytime you feel scattered,

Overwhelmed,

Set up,

Or even out of your body,

You can come back into this energetic space within you,

Remembering this anchor that you have,

That falls deep into the core of earth,

Grounding you,

Holding you,

Keeping you stable,

And when you feel overwhelmed,

Or like you have a lot of questions that you need answered,

When you first ground into your body,

Into your place of power,

Into your stability,

You're able to make decisions from a really safe place,

Releasing the outcome,

Knowing that whatever happens,

You always have this place within you,

Of safety,

Security,

Groundedness,

And you are deeply held to the earth below.

Now gently back to this present moment,

Back to your breath,

Back to the sensation of a wave,

With your inhalation and exhalation,

Let go of your fingers,

Your toes,

Stretch a little,

And gently let your eyes open,

And if you are holding a question,

You may want to grab a journal,

And just re-write,

And notice what comes up,

And if you want to go about and meet your day with this grounded,

Stable energy.
