Welcome to this meditation to support you with having clear energetic boundaries.
So make your way to a comfortable seat.
You can either place your feet below on the ground or roll them underneath you.
Support your spine and gently invite yourself to notice your breathing.
Notice your inhalation and exhalation,
Allowing the rise and fall of each breath.
And as you sit here with the floor below you and your back supported,
Gently invite your attention to notice your body,
Anywhere you're holding tension.
And as you notice the tension that you're holding,
Go into that space,
Feeling into the sensations of what you're noticing.
Does it feel tight?
Static-y?
Heavy?
Just notice and as you notice,
Perhaps you notice the tension releasing.
You can move around your body to the different areas.
Maybe you're holding tension in your jaw.
Maybe you're holding it in the eyes.
You can just invite a softening to happen,
Bringing up the crown,
Down your head,
Your forehead,
Opening your eyes,
Jaw.
Feeling an openness in your neck,
The heaviness in your shoulders,
Releasing tension in the chest and loosening any gripping that you may have in your tummy.
Moving down to your hips,
And then to your thighs,
And then to your calves,
Ankles,
The feet.
Take a big inhale,
And then you can exhale through the mouth,
Letting it all go.
Throughout the day,
We can develop attachments,
Energetic cords,
Connections to people,
New ideas,
Even places.
You can feel like we have open tabs in a computer,
Or you may experience it like these energetic cords that are keeping you hooked in.
I mean a lot of these places where we are reaching out or hooked into other people,
Into our ideas,
Into even places,
And really take us out of our power center and drain our energy.
You may experience this like you have energetic cords coming out of your gut that are reaching out.
When you locate the area in which you feel like this pull or this tether,
Simply release with love and call the energy back to you,
Knowing that whatever you need to do will be there when you get back to it.
Everything is okay.
You can just do this one by one.
You may not be able to experience the sensation or feel it in that way,
But you may get an image,
You may have a thought about where you feel hooked in.
Just allow whatever is coming into your mind to be the answer of where you are overly attached and what is asking you to release.
Just one by one moving through the different areas.
When you feel complete,
You may notice a lightness,
A sense of freedom.
These attachments happen in a couple of different ways.
You can really get these energetic tethers that keep us locked in things,
And it's also a pattern of our thoughts.
It's the quality of where we are placing our attention.
You can do this energetic boundary work every single day,
But in order to create lasting freedom in this department,
There is a need to stop the mind when it repeats these well-worn tracks.
If you feel overly connected to a person,
Even if you pull back your energy,
You may find that your mind keeps wanting to re-hook.
Notice that internal drive to reattach.
Knowing that clear boundaries does not take away our connection,
But creates a sense of internal clarity.
You can gently bring yourself back.
Knowing this practice is always available for you.
Bring yourself back to your breath,
Your body,
In this moment.
And gently open your eyes.
