Good morning,
Beautiful soul.
This meditation is meant to help you start your day from a place of calmness,
Wholeness,
And filled with gratitude.
Let's begin by taking a position that feels comfortable to you.
This may be sitting upright in a chair,
On the floor,
Or even lying down if that's what your body needs in this moment.
And as you allow yourself to sink into this feeling of comfort,
I invite you to slowly close your eyes and begin to bring your attention inwards.
Let's begin by taking a few slow,
Healing,
Deep breaths.
Begin to inhale from your belly and noticing how it expands as you take in the powerful healing breath,
Noticing how your lungs fill up,
And continuing to do so until it feels like you can take in no more.
And then completely and slowly exhaling.
And then again,
Taking another slow,
Deep breath in,
Noticing how your belly once again expands,
Taking in as much air as your lungs can possibly hold,
And then slowly exhaling once more.
And I invite you to just remind yourself that these next few moments are solely for you,
And that everything that may be on your mind,
The to-do list,
Emotions,
Memories,
Those can all still exist and be there when you're done.
But in this moment,
We're going to maintain our focus inwards.
And if at any time it's hard to focus,
So your attention wanders,
Just gently invite it back.
There's no pressure,
No judgment.
And as we begin,
I would like for you to think of the word gratitude,
Maybe repeat it a few times to yourself internally.
And as you think of the word gratitude,
I want you to focus on your chest,
On your heart center,
And see if maybe there is an image or a color that you notice in that heart centered place.
And I would like for you to take that feeling of gratitude and begin to focus it on the top of your head.
Begin to think about your brain,
All of the amazing insights and knowledge that it contains from feeling gratitude for this part of your body,
And then allow that awareness to travel down to your eyes,
Feeling grateful for all of the beautiful images and sights that your eyes allow you to take in,
Maybe even those that we tend to take for granted but are no less valuable.
And then I want you to think about your ears,
Feeling grateful for all of the beautiful sounds that you experience on a daily basis.
Maybe voices of loved ones or music that brings you a sense of joy and peace.
And then taking the awareness to your nose,
Into your mouth,
Thinking about all of the amazing smells and tastes that these senses allow you to experience on a daily basis.
Then taking that awareness and traveling down through your throat,
Feeling grateful for your powerful voice,
That voice that allows you to speak your truth and advocate for yourself,
Even when it feels scary,
But no less important.
And then continue taking that awareness,
Traveling down with it through your shoulders,
Your arms and your hands,
Feeling grateful for the strength that you possess,
And everything that your hands and arms allow you to do to get through your day.
And then allowing the awareness to travel to your heart and all of your amazing internal organs that allow you to function without you even having to think about it or notice it typically,
And feeling so grateful for that.
Then allowing the awareness to travel down to your belly,
Feeling grateful for all of the amazing digestive processes that happen there to allow your body to function in a healthy way.
And then allowing that awareness and gratitude to travel down through your pelvis,
Down through your legs and your joints,
And down through your feet.
And again,
Feeling so grateful for all that your legs and feet and joints allow you to do on a daily basis,
Grateful for all of the places they take you and how much that contributes to having a life worth living.
And now I want you to take a few moments and notice how it feels to have your entire being filled with a sense of gratitude.
Noticing the sensations that go along with this,
Maybe noticing any healing images or colors or lights that come to mind,
And just really amplifying those sensations and images for yourself for a few more moments.
And now I encourage you to think about a person in your life that you feel grateful for.
It could be someone that is in your life right now,
Maybe someone that has passed on or was in your life before,
But just someone that you feel utterly grateful for.
And just noticing whatever it is about that person that you feel particularly grateful for.
And notice how as you hold space for gratitude for this person,
That you also can maintain that sense of gratitude for yourself.
Gratitude is abundant.
It does not have to be taken away from someone in order to be given to another.
And now I would like you to think about moving through this day ahead of you filled with this light and amazing sense of gratitude that you have cultivated during this practice.
And just imagine what a positively amazing impact having this sense of gratitude will have on this day and how it unfolds in front of you.
And as we begin to reach the end of this time,
I encourage you to express one final moment of gratitude towards yourself for taking the time to cultivate this practice this morning,
Taking the time to care for yourself in this way.
Whenever you are ready,
I encourage you to take one final big deep breath belly in,
Allowing that belly to expand once more those lungs to fill up with as much air as they can hold.
And then slowly exhale.
Begin to gently bring your awareness to your hands and your feet,
Wiggling your toes and your fingers.
And whenever you're ready,
Slowly open your eyes and take one final moment to notice how it feels to have not only taken this time for yourself,
But to be filled with this amazing sense of gratitude and inner peace and calmness.
Thank you so much for meditating with me this morning,
And I wish you a blessed day on this amazing day that is about to unfold in front of you.
Have a beautiful day.
