A short poem about moving through grief. Years ago, I found myself going through a divorce. For many nights, I found myself grieving, anxious, alone, and broken. This poem reflects the heartbreak I went through, but also the transformation. If you are grieving, go through the process of grief. Don't try to find shortcuts. There are none. Instead, allow yourself to grieve and allow the pain to move through you. Then, you will be ready to take the lessons you've learned from the loss and LIVE.

Hello my name is Janice Burt and I just wanted to share something that I wrote a while ago but it has to do with the feelings and emotions of grief and loss which I thought were pretty applicable to what's going on today.

And so I thought I would share.

Grief stricken heart sick panic rising cycle of loss teary eyes stomach pit sadness sadness and loss.

What is the pain showing me attachment attachment and longing for what never was what never will be yet I cling so desperately.

Now breathe.

Breathe and see open your eyes and experience clarity truth wisdom peace and love experience the love.

And then I change view shifting soul open heart ready eyes drying shoulders lifting weight gone smile on.

Thank you. I happened to listen to this while trying to process the grief associated with a dad who died who wasn’t there and who wasn’t the dad I wish I had. I appreciate you.

Today is my younger brothers birthday. He died a year ago August at 47. I am grateful that this is the track o chose to connect with. As I listened to it, it struck me as a poem that can speak to so many abstracts of grief and the heart. 🌹✨⚡️
