Lie back,
Relax and close your eyes.
In a few moments you will start to feel very relaxed,
More than you've ever been before.
Now take a deep breath through your nose.
As you bring your shoulders up,
Hold it and then let your breath and shoulders go.
Feel yourself start to relax.
As you take each deep breath through your nose and out through your mouth,
You start to feel yourself relax more and more.
You can go back to your normal breathing now.
Feel a sense of coolness on the inner walls of your nostrils as you inhale.
Feel a sense of warmth as you exhale.
During this session,
You'll be able to hear my voice at all times and maintain consciousness.
You'll also hear me mention various parts of the body and as I do,
Breathe into that part of your body and let it relax.
Imagine that there is a golden white light hovering above your head.
It feels warm and nurturing.
Allow this light to move down to your head and as it does,
It lightens the load on your mind.
Now the light is slowly moving down your face,
Easing the frown lines and making your skin glow from the inside.
You're feeling relaxed.
Now imagine this light continuing its way down through your neck and shoulders,
Bringing you deeper relaxed.
In a few short moments,
I will ask you to quickly open and then close your eyes to double your relaxation.
Here we go.
Open your eyes and then close.
Feel deeply relaxed.
Open your eyes and then close.
Feel deeper relaxed.
Open your eyes and then close.
Absolutely relaxed.
Now imagine the light continuing its way down your middle back,
Feeling the muscles relax.
On your lower back,
Feeling the tension drift away.
You are going deeper and deeper relaxed.
Imagine the light warming your chest,
Heart and belly,
Letting go of any holding in your internal organs as the light warms them up.
Your whole upper body is feeling very,
Very relaxed.
Now imagine this light moving down the right side of your body.
From the top of your right shoulder,
Down your upper arm,
Forearm,
Through your hands,
Bringing the relaxation deeper.
You go deeper and deeper relaxed.
As this light moves down to your right hip,
Upper leg,
Calf,
Shin,
Tops of the feet and your toes,
The light continues to bring this deeper and deeper relaxation down the left side of your body.
From the top of your left shoulder,
Down your upper arm,
Forearm,
Through your hands,
Bringing the relaxation deeper.
You go deeper and deeper relaxed.
As the light moves down to your left hip,
Upper leg,
Calf,
Shin,
Tops of the feet and your toes,
Your whole body is now fully relaxed.
You are now feeling very calm and peaceful.
You may wish to wake up after this meditation or you may wish to go to sleep.
Give yourself a few moments to choose.
I'll now start counting from 5 to 1 and when I reach 1 and not before,
You will either wake up alert and relaxed or go into a deep sleep.
