Hello and welcome to this guided meditation for insomnia.

As you prepare for rest,

I invite you to find a comfortable position,

Allowing your body to settle in and relax,

Closing your eyes and taking a deep breath.

This is your time to let go of the day's worries and to surrender into the soothing embrace of sleep.

Begin to focus more intently on your breath,

Noticing the gentle rise and fall of your chest,

The rhythm of your breath,

Letting it become slower and deeper with each inhalation and each exhalation.

Feel your body begin to melt into the bed beneath you,

Releasing all the tension with every breath you let go of.

And as you breathe in,

Know that you are drawing in peace and calm,

And as you breathe out you are releasing any stress,

Any worries,

They are just drifting away with each breath.

From the crown of your head to the tips of your toes,

You can feel yourself becoming heavier.

Every muscle has permission to let go,

To surrender,

To rest here fully.

Everything is becoming so relaxed as you let go,
