Welcome to this embracing change meditation.
I would like you to sit quietly with your spine gently lengthened and slowly close your eyes.
Feel your shoulders relax.
Take a full deep breath in and a full deep breath out.
And another breath in and another one out.
Feel the gentle support of the surface beneath you.
In this meditation,
We will explore embracing change.
It's normal to feel that change is challenging or uncomfortable.
Your brain likes certainty,
So it's okay to feel unsure about the unknown.
Sometimes when you are facing change,
You might postpone making difficult decisions.
And this might leave you feeling stuck and conflicted.
Take a deep calming breath in and out.
And another breath in and out.
In this meditation,
I want you to consider that it's often conflict about change that can be the source of so much worry and anxiety.
When it comes to change,
It's the fear of losing what you have and sometimes the fear of what lies ahead.
Take a deep breath in and out.
And gently relax your shoulders.
Now I would like you to place your hands in your lap and gently open your eyes to the Take a deep breath in and out.
And gently relax your shoulders.
Now I would like you to place your hands in your lap and gently open your palms to the ceiling or sky.
Imagine two separate and beautiful versions of you.
In one hand is the you right now.
And in the other hand is the future you.
Acknowledge that the present you and the future you are both important,
Both worthy and both loved.
Now gently bring your hands together and place both hands over your heart,
Bringing the two versions of yourself together.
Recognise that no matter what decisions you make,
Whatever changes or challenges you face,
Resolving the conflict between these two beautiful beings will bring you peace.
Take a deep breath in and slowly out.
And another breath in and out.
Both these versions of you are important.
Both these versions of you matter.
You can embrace change when you recognise that what matters most is not your present or your changed self,
But you.
You matter.
You are worthy.
No matter what decisions you might make,
Feel a sense of compassion for yourself.
You have the power within you to embrace change.
Take a deep breath in and a deep breath out.
And feel a smile gently coming to your lips,
Knowing you are capable,
Knowing you can deal with whatever the future holds.
Thank you for taking time for yourself to meditate with me today.
