Taking your seat.
Allowing yourself the time.
And the space is settled.
Tuning into the space.
Finding ground.
Becoming aware of the sensations.
Within the body.
And the movement of the breath.
Let's bring some movement to the body so perhaps just starting by moving the head.
And a little semicircle.
Starting by dropping right ear down toward right shoulder.
Slowly taking,
Rolling chin towards chest and then left ear to left shoulder.
These might be just tiny movements.
And then allowing the shoulders to circle.
Might not be big,
Dramatic moments,
It might be quite subtle,
But let the sensation be the guide.
Can you?
Track some.
.
.
Some pleasure in the movement.
And if you have the space and you have the wish,
You can make those cycles bigger by sackling the elbows.
Breathe in the entirety of your arms.
You can just stay with the shoulders.
If there's any movement you'd like to see,
Maybe the spine wants to wriggle.
Maybe as you inhale,
You draw the shoulders back.
Press the chest forward and as you exhale,
Roll the shoulders forward and press the heart back.
Dropping chin to chest,
So you're ready.
Again,
This might be a very small,
Subtle movement.
It may not even be visible to the eye,
Or it might be a big movement.
Perhaps you're lying down and that will change the shape.
Of your movement.
And see if you can find a sense of the fluidity of your body.
And then bringing your hands up and circling the rest.
And then changing direction.
And maybe it feels good to wriggle through the fingers to open and close the palm.
So he's looking for the comfort in the ears and the fluidity of the movement.
If you find tension in your hands,
Then just give them a shake.
See if you can shake that out.
Funny how.
My hands feel tense.
It's 6.
30 in the morning.
I've just woken.
Why are my hands tense?
Let's see if you can find the relief.
And then with the feet.
You might flex and point your toes.
Flex and point your ankles.
Might circle your feet.
Sway your knees from side to side.
It all really depends on how you're sitting and how you're lying.
What feels.
Like a a movement that will nourish you.
And when the movement's ready to settle Bring your awareness to your pelvis.
Feel how grounded.
How heavy.
And how settled.
The pelvic bowl is.
Perhaps the body feels a little more alive.
Fourth movement.
Can you draw your awareness inwards?
To a sense of a vertical axis.
A vertical axis that moves up from the ground up through the pelvis.
Up through and along the front of the spine.
Through the territory of the heart.
That's right to the occiput.
The ridge at the back of your head.
Where skull rests on vertebrae.
Can you call your awareness into that vertical axis?
And you call all the parts of yourself in.
To the vertical axis.
And if you are able to,
Connect.
To this primal streak that moves.
Through the core of you.
Can you bring your breath into this?
Letting your breath travel.
Up and down.
Through your midline.
So that the two feel to be in relationship with one another.
Breath.
And midline.
Allowing in the way that comes to you.
Breath and midline.
To relate to one another.
Perhaps we can begin to Move with the breath and allow the breath to expand.
The inhale becomes a deeper draw.
And the exhale.
A wider release.
Perhaps you notice how the midline stays stable.
And the breath.
Moves through and around that.
And the fluctuations of the breath.
Bring the flow,
The pulse of life.
And the consistency of midline.
Brings stability.
One holds us strong.
The other weaves and turns.
And expresses.
Moving from here to there.
In its own down.
If the breath were a painting.
If the breath were moving.
The brush.
On the canvas.
What would those marks look like?
If the breath could express itself through colour and texture.
And mark making.
What kind of painting?
What would you be creating right now?
Can we expand the breath out even more?
Not that we want to take it into a place where it's forced,
But to liberate it,
To free it.
To let it breathe.
Or maybe it just wants to say,
Stay smooth.
Maybe it's.
.
.
Wanting to be more subtle.
That's where your breath longs to go,
Let it stay small.
And allow the intimacy.
Of a smaller breath.
When there's no right or wrong path to your breathing,
Where does your breath take you to?
And can you stay engaged with Midline?
I guess we come towards the end of our practice.
Notice the sensation of the body.
Perhaps there's something of an allowing.
This hair.
Perhaps it's an appreciation of the physicality of your you,
You body.
Maybe you just notice the breath moving in and out through the nose.
Outer world coming in.
In a world coming out.
Can you stay with your awareness of midline?
The cooling in of all the parts.
All the places,
All the times,
All the experiences.
Have you?
The stability,
The consistency,
The strength.
The Honesty.
Of your primal stream.
As we offer the fruits of our practice to ourselves,
To one another.
And to all beings.
Namaste Thank you for being here.
