Welcome to the Soul Infused Monday show.

I'm your host,

Sonia Buonodela Torre,

And today's topic is the power of energy-based meditation.

And whether you are already meditating,

If you are a seasoned meditator,

Or whether you are completely new or you are struggling with it,

Either way,

This show will be beneficial,

Insightful,

Meaningful,

And will help you to shift your energy already,

Even if you are not when meditating.

Now,

The Soul Infused Monday show itself has its own frequency,

Has its own vibration.

By you simply showing up,

Just showing up,

Just by showing up,

You give yourself already the opportunity to tap into a different vibration,

Into a different frequency.

And the more present you are,

The more present you are within yourself and with the content,

And the more engaged you are,

The more you can let that energy influence you.

You get to choose,

And you are in charge,

And you have the power to determine and make the decision with who and what do you want to spend your energy with.

So I acknowledge you for being here,

And I invite you to keep showing up.

Now,

Showing up does not always mean you're gonna feel amazing,

Centered,

Present,

Joyful,

Every time after the show.

However,

The chances of you having a more mindful,

A more meaningful,

A more joyful day when you start your Monday like this,

Increases exponentially.

If you have followed me already for a while,

You know I keep talking about meditation,

And I will keep talking about meditation,

Most likely until I leave this body,

Because I believe it's one of the most powerful tools to support,

In addition,

The inner work.

It's not a substitution to inner work,

But energy-based,

Particularly energy-based meditation that incorporates a certain flow and a certain framework is,

In my experience,

The most powerful tool.

That's why I am teaching it,

And I am only going to be able to scratch the surface here today,

But I have two resources in addition,

So you do wanna take notes.

Let me tell you a quick story from today.

When you are a seasoned meditator like me,

And I start my day with meditation every day,

It has changed my life completely.

I do inner work,

I am relentless with my own personal growth,

And I get to experience all the ups and downs and craziness of the world myself.

And I'm sharing this with you because this morning,

I got triggered into a feeling of annoyance.

I felt annoyed,

I played tennis every day in the morning,

And today,

Because it was a holiday,

There were a lot of people on the court,

And I felt like I wasn't getting in the groove,

I wasn't able to play that much,

And it doesn't even matter,

Outside circumstances don't matter at all.

But I felt internally annoyed,

I wasn't enjoying the present moment,

And I was talking to myself because I wanted to enjoy the present moment.

So it was an internal process that I was going through,

And at some point,

I surrendered to it and say,

It's okay that I feel this way,

A part of me is annoyed,

Angry,

Upset for whatever reason,

And I made the best out of it,

And I was grateful,

I shifted into gratitude because it could have been very likely that it was meant to rain today,

Actually,

And I wouldn't have been able to play at all.

So I shifted my perspective and made the best out of it,

But I also allowed myself and embraced with acceptance the way that I felt.

Now,

My point in sharing this with you,

Most importantly,

Is when I went home,

I remembered and I said to myself,

Oh my gosh,

I remember when my life was consumed,

Me feeling triggered,

Or me feeling not good enough,

Angry,

Upset,

Annoyed,

Unlovable,

Whatever the story was,

Whatever the pain or the wound was,

Whatever the trigger was,

Most of my life,

Or a lot of my life was consumed by it.

And so this morning I felt like what a great opportunity to experience it,

Be with it,

Accept it,

And then also to be able to let it go.

And energy work and energy-based meditation has helped me tremendously.

I'm also wanting to invite you to share your own experience with me and ask any questions you might have.

Why is energy-based meditation so powerful?

And for me,

Magical.

Number one,

Everything is energy.

So obviously it makes sense to focus when we meditate on energy.

And in particular,

The energy-based meditation that I've been doing for over 25 years now and teaching has a certain framework and a certain purpose.

Obviously meditation in general is meant and designed to calm our minds,

To be more centered and grounded,

To have more balance,

Whatever it is that your practice or not existing practice incorporates.

The energy-based meditation that I am sharing with you incorporates four floors of energy,

But their most important intention or purpose is to connect in and to reconnect actually with the essence of who you are being and with the higher self that you are with your soul.

What is different about this type of energy work or energy-based meditation is that it has a certain framework and a certain intention.

You've got to penetrate through the layers of thoughts and feelings and mud and messiness,

But the ultimate goal of energy-based meditation is to connect in,

To connect and come back to yourself,

And then to shift your energy up,

To connect up to your higher self,

To unhook from the beliefs,

The woundings,

The drama,

The trauma that is not you,

But that you are still identified it,

To unhook from it and to reconnect to the essence of your soul and to reconnect to higher consciousness,

To create higher perspective.

And that's why it is so powerful.

It does not happen overnight.

It is a muscle that you get to train.

It is a muscle that you get to train over and over and over again,

And it will hit certain layers that you get to face,

To look at,

To work through,

And is the most rewarding type of meditation I've experienced,

And I've done a lot of things in the last 25 years.

I also want to mention that true dedication to meditation is challenging.

So if you're someone who is struggling in some way or another with meditation,

Whether it's taking even the time or sitting in silence and feeling peaceful,

So many other things that you might be struggling with,

That's totally normal.

A true meditation is one of the most challenging things and the most beautiful and rewarding things.

There are people who rather jump out of a flying plane or into the fire than tuning the energy back in.

Can you relate to that?

Take a moment to take inventory for yourself and be simply honest with yourself.

Feel free to share with me.

I always love to see your comments or reviews,

But do this for yourself mainly.

Energy-based meditation is powerful when applied and when practiced over and over again and you get better at it.

In the beginning,

It is not easy.

So this is information.

I give you information.

I might hopefully also give you inspiration.

However,

If you want to use this information to also create transformation,

You get to apply it.

You get to practice it.

You get to show up for it.

You gotta be consistent.

It is okay to start very little.

It is okay to start with a minute a day.

It is okay not liking it.

Everything is okay.

However,

If you are someone that wants to feel more centered,

More grounded,

Being able to deal with what's happening on the outside,

Let it be people,

Judgment,

Rejection,

Anxiety,

Work-related,

Business-related,

Family-related,

Relationships,

If you want to feel more grounded,

Centered,

If you want to feel good about yourself because you know who you are and you want to be able to unhook and to reset and to get a higher perspective on what's happening in your world versus just being caught up,

Then energy-based meditation is definitely a tool that I would highly recommend you doing on a regular basis.

And I have something for you to make it easier for you to apply very quickly.

Ultimately,

For me,

Inner work and meditation is you mastering existence here on Earth while we are a human being.

I often have the analogy of the ocean.

You are the ocean.

You are the vastness of the ocean.

And there are hundreds or thousands or millions or whatever different waves,

Ripple effects.

Sometimes it's stormy.

Sometimes it's quiet.

Now you are still always gonna be the ocean.

But what we often do is we are identified with the particular wave.

Let's say there's a wave called anger,

A wave called money anxiety,

A wave called my husband never listens to me,

Whatever it is.

The wave might be I am fat and ugly.

That was my wave for many,

Many years when I grew up.

I felt fat and ugly.

That was my identity.

You are identified with the wave and therefore as default,

We wanna fight it,

We wanna deny it,

We wanna judge it,

We wanna get rid of it,

We resist it.

Now you don't see the ocean resist its own waves.

Not even you,

Like when you are by the ocean or on the beach or maybe you are a surfer,

I don't know.

But we are not standing on the beach fighting and judging the wave.

We're learning how to handle it.

We're learning how to surf.

And ultimately inner work and also energy-based meditation can help you to become a better surfer,

A better surfer of waves,

Therefore a better surfer of your life.

Does this make sense?

Let me hear,

I'm going to take a moment to see your comments.

I like to meditate when no one else is in the house.

If there are people around,

I find it more difficult.

Of course,

Emily,

Yes,

Thank you for sharing that.

I wanna tap on that for one moment.

Of course it's easier when it's quiet because you have less distractions and that's okay.

My biggest invitation is though,

Create that quiet place whenever you can.

However,

Meditate anyway,

Even when you're distracted.

And you might think then,

Oh,

This is not a good meditation.

Oh,

I got distracted,

I'm not by my,

No,

It's practice,

Practice,

Practice.

Now this is not maybe the perfect analogy to it,

But it's as if we would say,

I'm only going to the gym when I'm by myself.

If there are any other people,

I'm not gonna exercise.

There's gonna be a lot of other people.

You wanna exercise anyway,

But I get it.

This is a great comment that I wanna share because so many can relate to it,

Especially women,

Also men,

But especially women.

I find it challenging to take the time to meditate at weekends when my husband is at home.

It's about me,

Not about him,

Yes.

That is very common.

And I love how you already phrased it that you are not taking the time because you have the time.

You choose not to take it.

Now,

And I know that you're working on boundaries and self-care and you are at the point in your life that it's 100% about you.

So it is more challenging and yet it's possible.

And because something is more challenging,

Doesn't mean it's not doable.

Of course it's challenging.

Anything that creates growth comes with a challenge.

If there's no friction,

There's no growth.

So embrace it,

Keep working on it,

And make it a point to make it happen so that you stay consistent,

Especially now when you are recovering healing,

You want to have that self-care and to communicate needs with the other person.

Now,

Whether they agree or not,

That's not even the point.

You get to take the time if you know it's good for you.

Are you just focusing on energy?

You feed him for a day.

When you teach a man to fish,

What is energy-based meditation?

Energy-based meditation is,

Especially when I guide it,

I focus on the energy,

Not so much on everything around.

We bring the energy back in,

Then we shift the energy,

We let it rise up.

It's easier said than done,

But that's how it works.

You let the energy rise up.

You disconnect or unplug from the physical body as well.

You raise your energy.

You go to a different vibration.

And one of the two really important pieces that are often missing is you bring that new vibration down,

And that's the one that you wanna take out.

You're literally shifting the blueprint of your energy if you are doing consistent energy-based meditation.

Because who you are being after the meditation is a different energy than when you start the meditation.

Without expectation,

Without pressure,

It's a process.

And there is no such thing like a bad meditation.

Remove your judgment,

Remove your expectations,

And remove the pressure.

And certainly pay attention to your perfectionist that wants to have it a certain way.

Creates more energy.

And on top of it,

It being beneficial for you,

You give someone else the opportunity to read your takeaway and have a takeaway itself.

Or you give them an opportunity for them to also have a takeaway.

A takeaway that I'm reading here is,

I get to be consistent.

Yes,

Yes,

Yes,

And yes.

Be relentless,

Be consistent.

Keep your energy.

Be consistent,

Keep showing up.

Keep showing up for yourself.

Keep showing up for your soul.

Keep showing up for your wellbeing.

Keep showing up for your body.

Keep showing up no matter what.

And it doesn't mean you get to be perfect.

It means simply you keep showing up consistently.

It will be too noisy to listen to your own voice.

What the world needs is more people that show up,
