Welcome back to Soul Infused Monday,

The first show in 2022,

Episode number 211.

With the topic of today,

Seven ways to create more peace and balance in the new year.

What is peace and balance?

And what is peace and balance for you?

Because peace and balance,

Especially balance,

It's like more of an idea and a concept than something that you can really grasp,

Or it's not so tangible.

And when I talk about peace,

I will focus on inner peace,

Because inner peace creates outer peace.

When you create more peace within yourself and in your life,

It will have a ripple effect in the world.

So the more people in the world,

Focus on the inner peace and create a life of more peace and balance,

It will create more peace and balance in the outer world.

So I just want to give that as a foundational piece.

Also,

Whether you know all of what I'm going to share today already or not,

Whether you are already applying some of the things I'm going to share with you or not,

I invite you to be extremely open,

Super open,

Because you can always take it a step deeper.

And even if it's a reminder,

We all need those reminders.

So I highly recommend you taking notes.

So grab something to write,

Take notes,

And I'm going to share with you seven ways to create more peace and balance in this new year.

I will share with you real quick what peace means to me.

And I invite you while you share that to ask yourself the question,

What does that mean to you to have more peace and balance in your life?

What does that mean to you?

Tune in.

Maybe you even want to ponder around this after the show a little bit longer.

Peace for me means that I'm at peace in the moment,

Meaning still,

But still in movement.

For example,

Imagine yourself sitting,

Watching the sun rise.

It's slow,

It's a movement,

But it feels still even though it's moving.

Or maybe you look at a lake,

And you drop a little stone or a leaf into the lake,

And the lake does those ripples.

It is still and calm and peaceful at the same time you're moving.

Peace for me also means that I am connected with myself,

And I am present,

And I am centered,

And I am grounded within myself.

And I'm in acceptance with what is.

And I find peace in any experience.

Just sharing that with you shifted already the energy into more peacefulness.

Did you notice?

So,

Number one,

And they are actually in a particular order,

Especially the first ones,

Because the very first way I'm going to share with you is the foundation to all the other ways.

Now me sharing seven ways does not mean that they're not more.

It's just seven that I choose to share with you today.

Number one,

The basic to have more peace and balance this year,

Write it down.

The number one thing is to be more present.

Now that might sound easier said than done.

So stay with me,

But write it down.

A way to be more peaceful,

To create more peace and balance in your life this year is to be more present.

You want to consciously choose to be more present.

You want to set the intention to be more present.

And if you don't even know what that means,

Then you get to learn to be present.

Present with yourself and present with others.

Let me give you an example.

In our daily life,

There's so many distractions,

So many distractions.

How many times you are with a friend,

And be honest,

You know,

You're with a friend or you're somewhere in nature or something doing that supposedly is not peaceful and you're on your phone and you check something on your phone.

Or you get distracted by something,

Or you're busy doing five things at the same time and you're not really present with one.

Be more present from an energetic perspective because that's my expertise.

That's why all or everything is energy.

Being more present energetically means you are centered within yourself,

Your energy field is balanced in,

You're not outside all over the place.

You're grounded,

You're resting within your core.

And being more present also means you are more in the present moment.

Being more present is an energetical phenomena,

Is an energetical state of being.

Yes,

The mind is part of it,

Emotions are part of it.

However,

Ultimately,

It's an energetical state of being and you can choose to do that.

Now I want to give one more tip around this.

It's very easy to be judgmental about not being present.

Let me give you a perspective so that judgment is not a part of this.

There are only two states when it comes to presence.

You are either present or you're not.

That's it.

So you're either present or you're not.

So when you're present,

You're obviously present and you will lose presence because we all do.

We're human beings.

It's a dance.

And like in dance,

If you are a dancer,

Or if you like to dance,

You can follow or you don't.

If you are a follower in dancing,

Follower in life,

With presence,

You're present or you're not.

So when you catch yourself not being present,

You simply go back to presence without any judgment,

Without any big deal,

Without any drama.

You choose presence.

If you are more present this year,

Consciously,

You will create more peace and balance and happiness and joy in your life.

That's the number one.

That's the foundation.

Now all the other six ways I'm going to share,

Do it with presence.

Way number two.

Start your day with peace.

Start your day with peace.

Now I'm not going to dive too much into this because I talk about how to start your day so many times and I want to give you a few resources that you can write down.

I talk about how to create a powerful morning routine.

I shared with you things you get to stop doing in the morning to create a positive space in the morning.

So you want to consciously start your day with peace.

Two episodes that are super helpful for this.

If you want to create more peace and balance in your life this year and you want to choose,

You want to choose peace in the morning,

First thing in the morning,

Go and check out episode number 179 and 180.

Those two episodes share how to create a powerful morning routine and 10 things to let go.

Number three.

Spend more time in nature.

Mm hmm.

Spend more time in nature.

Spending 120 minutes in nature per week is associated actually with good health and well being.

Now let me break this down for you.

Like let's use as an example 120 minutes per week is about 17 minutes a day.

Spent 17 minutes on average every day in nature.

Now the mind might think oh that's a lot of time.

Just check in.

How much time,

And I'm talking out of own experience,

Right?

How much time do you scroll on Facebook?

Do you check TikTok or you watch the news or you are on Netflix or you're doing something that's not really creating peace?

Do you have 17 minutes a day to go into nature?

Yeah,

You have if you choose to or not.

Or maybe you want to accumulate some of them because it takes a while to get to nature depending on where you live.

But if you want to create more balance and peace within yourself and others and in your life,

This year spend more time in nature.

That's number three.

Number four.

Create an environment of peace for all and with all your senses.

I'm going to dive into that a little bit more.

When was the last time you actually stopped to smell a flower?

When was the last time you stopped to pause,

Look up to the sky and watch a bird or listen to the sound of a bird singing?

When was the last time you did that very consciously,

That you took a moment?

Now I'm sharing this because the question is when we create peace or a peaceful environment with all the senses,

Here are some questions that you can ask yourself.

What do you see or watch on a regular basis?

Does it create peace or does it create disturbance?

Who do you see on a regular basis?

What do you watch?

What are the movies?

What are the videos?

What are you looking at with your visual sense and is that creating peace or not?

What do you hear and what do you listen to on a regular basis?

Take inventory and be honest with yourself.

This is not about judging.

This is about creating more peace.

Is judging yourself creating more peace?

I don't think so.

Who do you listen to?

Who do you listen to?

And ask yourself,

Is that creating more peace in my life?

Is that creating balance?

Is it supporting me?

Do you listen to podcasts?

Do you listen to inspiring audios?

Which type of music are you listening to?

Music is energy.

Everything is energy.

Frequency.

Music in particular has a frequency.

Now you can use music very consciously and maybe you don't even know this but music can also make you feel very emotional.

It can trigger underlying issues and intensify actually an intense emotion or behavior or something.

So you want to be mindful.

For example,

If you are already sad or if you're going through something and you want to feel more at peace or more joyful or more happy or more alive,

Don't listen an hour to sad music where there's also a heartache and pain.

Energy is gonna affect you.

And also what are you touching?

Like all the senses.

Maybe later you stop and pet a dog or you massage yourself or you give yourself a hug.

What are you doing with all your senses?

So number four is to create an environment of peace with all your senses.

Okay.

I shared four.

Which one is the most meaningful so far?

Which one you caught yourself,

Oh yeah,

I've not been doing that one.

What's the most meaningful so far?

Number five.

And I mentioned that in last week's episode that you want to go back and listen to if you haven't and if you have,

It's a very good reminder.

One thing to do that will create so much more peace and balance in your life is to stop assuming and communicate more.

Stop assuming and communicate more.

Last week's episode where I shared five things to let go this year is episode 210.

Write it down.

I go a little bit deeper into that.

Why that is so beneficial and important.

Fifth way to create more peace is to stop assuming and to communicate more.

What you don't know,

You don't know.

Don't make a story up out in your mind.

It's usually negative anyway.

You don't know.

Period.

If you don't ask them,

You won't know.

Leave the stress.

And why is this creating so much more peace?

Because assuming something or judging something or getting caught in a story about something that you don't really know if it's true or not is creating stress in your body.

And in order to release stress,

You just stop that and therefore you create more peace.

So simple.

Number six.

That's a good one.

Number six.

Let go of stuff.

What I mean by stuff.

Let go of stuff means the following.

It could be something not physical like a material.

It could be let go of attachments or let go of certain other things that are not serving you.

Again,

Go back to episode 210 because I share with you five things around that.

But today I want to go into a little bit of a different direction.

I literally mean let go of things.

Declutter.

Get rid of stuff.

You have way too much stuff.

Declutter.

Get rid of stuff.

I want to give a few examples because that can also create a lot of peace and space in your life.

And there's a few categories that you can do.

Go even in your household,

Just in your house,

In your apartment.

Just look around.

Do you love everything you see?

Does it create peace to see it?

If it doesn't,

Or if you don't like it,

Or if it's not important,

Or if you don't care,

Get rid of it.

Create space.

If it doesn't create peacefulness,

Get rid of it.

Donate it.

Sell it.

Society actually promotes that a lot.

Buy more.

Buy here.

Buy that.

It's overwhelming.

We have so much stuff.

I'm fairly good in decluttering.

I don't have clutter and every time I move I get rid of things and now I'm moving again soon.

So I'm going to actually give everything away nearly.

That's a topic for another time.

However,

Really declutter.

Let go of stuff.

And ask yourself the question,

Do I really need this?

Most likely the question will be no because needing,

Like really,

Really needing,

We don't really need any material stuff out there in some way.

You know what I mean.

Do I want it?

Do I really need it?

Is it important to me?

And does it create peace and balance in my life?

And if not,

Get rid of it.

Let go of stuff.

Number six on the list to create more peace and balance in your life this year.

And by the way,

It's not only for this year,

It's for every day,

For every moment,

Every month.

You can create every day peace in your life.

Last but not least,

And that can feed into let go of stuff,

Even though this one is also more related to people.

Oh yeah,

Let go of people.

If they don't bring you peace,

The people that you're surrounded by can create peace or not.

Of course,

Peace comes from within.

So be very clear that if you're not peaceful,

It's not someone else's fault.

I'm very clear.

However,

If you surround you around people that cause you stress or that are stressful for you to be around,

Maybe you want to declutter them too.

Okay,

Number seven and last but not least,

Say no more often.

Learn to set healthy boundaries.

Say no more often.

Let me clarify or give context here.

Say no more often to the things that are not in alignment with your values,

With your integrity,

With your truth,

And say yes to the things that are in alignment with your values,

With integrity,

And with your truth.

Start saying no more often.

You can say also no to clutter in your house so that was their feed into it beautiful.

Take a deep,

Deep,

Deep breath.

I'm going to recap right now and give you a few questions by the end that you can use to support your peaceful journey or create more peace this year,

This moment.

Let go of stuff is my number top top number one task this year as I know this is the main source of my lack of presence and peace beautiful takeaway Dolan absolutely go for it.

Get rid of things.

My biggest takeaway is to live in the present moments so important.

Yes.

Destiny doesn't want to pick just one and that's great.

You can take them all consciously presence bring peace into environment declutter and new assumptions.

Yeah,

All of them.

They're all great.

Just because if you have a number one doesn't mean you're not going to do the other ones.

You can do all of them.

I would invite you and encourage you to do all of them.

Stop assuming and ask questions helped so much and let go of stuff moved and sold and give away old stuff.

I made me feel alive and living in a new life.

Yeah,

Beautiful.

Okay,

I'm gonna share two more and then I'm going to continue.

Kathy saying I really need to declutter my stuff.

I have to spend all my time decluttering my energy and I never get to the physical clutter.

Oh,

Yeah,

I hear you.

If you have clutter around,

You know,

You can declutter yourself as much as you want.

So instead of decluttering your energy declutter,

You are outside energy first,

It will get you space.

Absolutely.

Oops,

Big time.

Here are a few questions that you can write down to help support to check in with you.

Am I actually creating peace or not?

The first question is already given very easy.

Is what I'm doing right now is to help support my energy?

Creating peace is what I am thinking right now.

Creating peace is what I am saying right now creating peace to myself and others.

This is a very important one.

Write this down is what I am currently saying what I want to say.

Is this going to create peace balance or something positive?

Or is this not going to do that?

And then you make a choice.

Maybe it's time to stop saying so much stuff that doesn't create peace.

This might trigger someone,

But that's okay.

You know,

We are here to grow and to grow means also to look at things and it can be uncomfortable.

It's taking inventory.

What am I saying to people?

Is that actually creating peace?

What am I saying to myself?

Is that creating peace?

Who am I spending my time with?

What am I doing with my life consciously?

And am I creating peace?

All these questions can be super helpful.

Another one,

For example,

Is is what I am doing,

Or is what I am about to do in alignment with my values?

What in alignment with my truth?

Now you've got to know your truth,

You want to live your truth,

And you want to be honest to yourself first.

So these are a few questions I can give you much more,

But I'm going to wrap it up for today.

Apply them make a plan.

Set reminders,

Create a group,

Do whatever it takes.

Be present.

Stop assuming and communicate more.

Let go of stuff and say no more often.

And you will create more peace and balance in your life.

Starting today.
