Make yourself comfortable,

Close your eyes and bring your awareness to your breath.

Relax into your seat.

If you need to awaken,

You will awaken fully awake.

Notice the gentle rise and fall of your breath.

As you exhale,

You sink further into a deep daydream.

Breathe deeply,

Relax and notice yourself entering a more peaceful place.

As you count down from 100 to 1.

Just allow any thoughts that may come to mind to come and then let them go with your exhalation breath.

Allow your exhalation breath to bring you deeper and deeper into a relaxed state.

Now in a moment I'm going to count down from 10 to 1 and when I get to 1 you will have relaxed into a deep satisfying state.

But before that you can tighten up your body,

Make your entire body tense and as you exhale you can let your body become loose and floppy and relaxed.

Now take a deep breath in and relax.

Just let it all flow out on your exhale.

That's right.

Now tense up your whole body and then let it go again.

Really relaxed now and feel how good that feeling is.

Focus your attention on your feet.

Bring your full awareness to your feet,

Your toes,

Ankles and just let them all relax and loosen.

9,

Now relax all the muscles in the legs,

The calves,

Your knees,

Your thighs.

Feeling very relaxed,

Feel your legs get heavy and heavier.

Now feel full relaxation spreading throughout your body.

Feel your test sinking down with your exhalation breath.

Feel that relaxation in your shoulders,

Feel the shoulders sinking down further.

Spreading all the way to the arms,

To the hands,

Your fingers relax.

The arms are so heavy now,

So relaxed.

It's as if they belong to somebody else.

And now allow your neck to relax and become aware of your face relaxing,

Your cheeks and especially your jaw.

Let it go.

Let your eyes relax and fall back into your head.

Your forehead just relaxing your entire face.

Just letting go of any tensions there.

And everything feels loose and heavy as if your arms and legs were made of stone,

Totally relaxed.

You can feel the weight pressing down and you just can't move those arms and legs now.

And you can enjoy this feeling of total relaxation,

Of letting go and the more you relax,

The more you can relax.

And as your mind drifts off,

You feel the wave of relaxation traveling down your body.

Down and down.

From the top of your head relaxing your face,

Your neck,

Your shoulders sinking down.

Your body expanding and spreading out,

Almost disappearing.

You are weightless,

Floating down and down,

Gently and easily.

Feel your body sinking down but yet expanding out.

So you become a big energy filling all the space in the universe.

You are safe,

Warm and secure too.

And each soft gentle breath out is relaxing you even more.

And that relaxation means that you can relax deeper and deeper now.

Letting go,

Drifting away,

Nothing matters.

Enjoying that lovely feeling.

And totally relaxed now.

Totally at ease.

And your mind can drift away to a place far,

Far away.

A place where you feel so relaxed,

Where you feel comfortable,

Always.

And think of what that place is like.

Maybe you're at a beach listening to the waves crashing.

Or your favorite chair sinking down.

Or snuggled in bed on a stormy night.

Or maybe floating in warm water.

Allow your mind to drift over these things and other things.

Whatever feels right for you.

As you drift deeper and deeper.

Enjoying the feeling nothing matters.

Nothing is important.

Just being in this moment is all.

Let your mind empty.

That's right.

Counting backwards you begin to completely relax.

Your eyelids become so heavy and your shoulders sinking down all the way to your feet.

As you go deeper into this wonderful daydream.

I want you to imagine a golden light way above you.

And you now imagine this golden light entering your crown.

And flowing all the way down to your toes.

Filling your entire body with golden light.

Let this light emanate from your body so you are surrounded by a bubble of golden light.

Like a big sunshine.

I want you to expand this bubble of sunshine to fill the room you're in.

And now even further expanding to fill the neighborhood you're in.

Now expand even further so you can become so big that you fill the whole country that you're in.

You feel so light now.

You feel so tall.

And your energy is so big.

You are a bubble of golden sunshine energy.

This bubble protects you from any negative thoughts,

Words or feelings.

This is your protective bubble of golden light.

You are protected in this bubble of light wherever you go during your pregnancy,

Birth and post-birth.

This bubble protects you from any negative words,

Thoughts or feelings.

This is your protective bubble of golden light.

You are protected in this bubble of light wherever you go during your pregnancy,

Birth and post-partum.

Any negativity that tries to get into your bubble of light is gently pushed away from you and your baby.

Inside your bubble of light are only positive thoughts of comfort and peace.

And each negative thought,

Word or message that tries to get in just makes this globe even stronger so that only positive messages,

Images or comments can get in.

And this bubble will always be surrounding you and your baby so that you only feel peace,

Comfort and safety.

You and baby are so safe and warm.

In your bubble of light that whenever someone tells you a stressful birth story or someone shares their own birth experience in a negative light,

You simply smile and fill your body with golden sunshine energy and expand this energy to make this energy so very big that you are 10 feet tall and no negativity can affect your big energy now.

In fact,

Your bubble filters out the negativity and only allows positive comforting thoughts in.

And you can affirm to yourself,

The more I allow this bubble of golden light to protect me the stronger it becomes.

With each breath you inhale,

The stronger the bubble of light energy around you and in you becomes.

And with each exhalation breath you push away any negative thoughts or feelings.

Your confidence is unwavering.

You are truly empowered to make all the right choices for you and your baby.

Easily and comfortably.

And anytime you need to strengthen your bubble you can do so very easily.

All of the power is within you.

Your powerful subconscious mind will remember these suggestions just when you need it most.

In times that would otherwise be stressful,

You will find the deepest peace and relaxation as you breathe.

You will become more and more relaxed just when you need to.

You do so so easily and so effortlessly.

You feel this peace during your pregnancy.

You feel this peace during childbirth.

And you will feel this peace when your baby is with you,

In your arms.

Your thoughts and feelings about childbirth are completely positive and healthy now.

During birth and after your baby is born.

And you accept this completely in your mind,

Your body and your spirit.

Now it's time to prepare yourself to come up to a fully awake state.

Remember how protected you and your baby are in your own bubble of golden light which surrounds you at all times.

As I count back from three,

Hold on to that comfort and deep relaxation.

And remember that each time you re-enter this state,

You will become more relaxed and more peaceful than before.

Deeper each time.

And when I reach one,

Open your eyes and you will feel so relaxed,

More alert and completely refreshed.

Feel yourself slowly coming back up from this deep,

Relaxed state.

Your inner mind carries all of the powerful suggestions and images that you just listened to.

Two,

So relaxed and peaceful.

Fully confident in yourself and totally at ease with your pregnancy and the birth of your baby.

One,

Open your eyes now.

More relaxed,

Alert and refreshed.

Feeling so good.

Totally alert.

Stretch.

Move your arms,

Legs,

Fingers,

Toes.

Notice how good you feel.
