A Prayer of Healing & Comfort

This is a prayer from Psalm 102 and is for healing from sickness. A source of comfort in times of physical and emotional turmoil.

A prayer of healing and comfort.

Psalm 102.

Hear my prayer,

O Lord,

And let my cry come unto thee.

Hide not thy face from me in the day when I am in trouble.

Incline thine ear unto me in the day when I call.

Answer me speedily.

For my days are consumed like smoke,

And my bones are burned as an earth.

My heart is smitten and withered like grass so that I forget to eat my bread.

By reason of the voice of my groaning,

My bones cleave to my skin.

I am like a pelican of the wilderness.

I am like an owl of the desert.

I watch and am as a sparrow alone upon the housetop.

Mine enemies reproach me all the day,

And they that are mad against me are sworn against me.

For I have eaten ashes like bread and mingled my drink with weeping.

Because of thine indignation and thy wrath,

For thou has lifted me up and cast me down.

My days are like a shadow that declineeth,

And I am withered like grass.

But thou,

O Lord,

Shalt endure forever,

And thy remembrance unto all generations.

Thou shalt arise and have mercy upon Zion.

For the time to favor her,

Yea,

The set time is come.

For thy servants take pleasure in her stones and favor the dust thereof.

So the heathen shall fear the name of the Lord,

And all the kings of the earth thy glory.

When the Lord shall build up Zion,

He shall appear in his glory.

He will regard the prayer of the destitute,

And not despise their prayer.

This shall be written for the generation to come,

And the people which shall be created shall praise the Lord.

For he hath looked down from the height of his sanctuary.

From the heaven did the Lord behold the earth.

To hear the groaning of the prisoner,

To loose those that are appointed to death.

To declare the name of the Lord in Zion,

And his praise in Jerusalem.

When the people are gathered together,

And the kingdoms to serve the Lord,

He weakened my strength in the way,

He shortened my days.

I said,

Oh my God,

Take me not away in the midst of my days,

Thy years are throughout all generations.

Of old hast thou laid the foundation of the earth,

And the heavens are the work of thy hands.

They shall perish,

But thou shalt endure,

Yea all of them shall wax old like a garment.

As a vesture shalt thou change them,

And they shall be changed.

But thou art the same,

And thy years shall have no end.

The children of thy servants shall continue,

And their seed shall be established before thee.

Most kind and eternal and righteous Heavenly Father,

We come to you now on behalf of your children.

We come before you now on behalf of your child,

Your son,

And your daughter.

God we come asking you to forgive us of anything that we might have done that displeases you.

God in the name of Jesus,

We come to you asking for healing.

Healing from our sickness,

Healing from our despair,

Healing from our place of brokenness.

God in the name of Jesus,

Your word tells us that you were bruised for our iniquities,

That the chastisement of our peace was upon you,

And with your stripes we were healed.

Now God in the name of Jesus,

I bring before you your children,

Your sons,

And your daughters.

God you made us in your likeness and in your image.

You understand our frame,

You understand our vulnerabilities,

You see our deficiencies,

You know where we are broken,

You understand where we are hurting.

Now God in the name of Jesus,

I ask divine intervention,

I ask for your hand touch on your children.

God I'm asking you to heal the mind,

Heal the troubled mind,

Heal the wounded soul,

Heal the broken body,

That body ailing with pain,

Oh God because of sickness or disease.

Heal that infirmity in the name of Jesus.

Touch right now.

Give comfort,

Give peace,

Release that sickness in the name of Jesus.

We stand upon your holy word.

We trust you.

All things are possible if we believe by faith.

Now God touch your child from the crown of their head to the soul of their feet.

Touch from the outside to the very core of the soul and spirit.

Raise that child up,

That mother,

That father,

That brother,

That sister,

That husband,

That wife.

Raise your child up from the bed of affliction.

Heal them entirely from all sickness and disease.

Deliver,

Strengthen,

Heal,

Encourage.

Touch the troubled mind.

Touch that weary body.

Touch the wounded soul.

Give deliverance,

Give comfort,

Give peace.

We trust you God.

We stand upon your holy word and we thank you in advance.

Thank you for hearing our prayer for healing from sickness and diseases.

Thank you for the miracle of healing.

We stand on your word and we hold fast to your promises.

Thank you for hearing our prayers now.

We will be careful to give your name all of the glory,

The honor,

And the praise in the name of Jesus.

Thank God.

Amen and amen.

Be healed,

Be delivered,

And be restored.
