Welcome to thought meditation.

Find yourself into a comfortable place where you can allow me to guide you through this meditation.

Allow yourself to get a little more comfortable and start to let go of the physical body.

Letting go now of tension,

Letting muscles and tendons release and relax and melt into the surface that you are on.

Keeping yourself in physical alignment if you are seated,

Feeling yourself tall and letting go of any mental thoughts.

Maybe drawing your attention into your breath and just noticing.

Notice the breath coming in and notice the breath coming out with no judgment.

Bringing awareness to the hands and arms and shoulders as you let them have weight.

Releasing any need to hold.

Let go of all resistance.

Good.

And let your face start to just soften.

Let the scalp and all the hairs descend,

Releasing.

Let the forehead and eyebrows just start to melt.

Let the eyes soften.

Let the muscles of the eyes and the lids of the eyes and the eyeballs just stay like hot coals in the sand.

Melting,

Releasing.

Let the ears and temples relax.

Things are softening.

Let the tongue be heavy,

Teeth part and right at the jaw joint.

Release.

Letting go.

Starting to notice the breath.

Starting to let the breath come fully down below the belly button,

Opening and swelling like a balloon in the belly.

Letting go of any effort.

Just allow.

Just allow the breath to come into a rhythm that feels just right for you.

You can start to deepen the breath if that feels right and lengthen out the breath.

If any thoughts come into your mind,

Just come back to the breath.

Allowing expansiveness,

Filling up the belly ribs.

Letting the mind soften.

Letting your emotional body come into alignment.

Just being here in the moment.

Where do your thoughts arise from?

Observe yourself as if an animal observes its prey waiting to pounce.

Observe your thoughts.

Don't attach to them.

Watch them as if you were watching a cloud going by.

Internally,

You say,

Oh,

A thought,

But there's no attachment.

There's no engagement.

Oh,

It's just a thought.

Watch your thoughts go by like a car passing you.

Do you jump into the car and attach to it?

No,

You let that car just go by and notice.

Do you allow the car to make you feel?

Do you feel less than,

Or guilty or angry by thinking of it or attaching to it?

No,

You watch that car go by with no emotional connection.

You resist.

You allow.

And you watch just like the thoughts go by,

Just as a car goes by.

Use your breath now.

Bringing yourself into alignment physically,

Mentally,

Emotionally.

Bringing your focused awareness into your breath.

If thoughts like to bother you,

You could use a repetitive mantra.

Repeating mindless mantras disengages the mind,

Deactivation of the engagement.

You find yourself just carried away in thought,

Not even realizing it.

In its incessant thought,

You could even count your thoughts without entertaining them.

Can you be in a daydream state and let the mind and thoughts just be?

Tuning them out and you could see the thought.

Don't be the thought.

Separate the thought from who you are.

Be now in peace with your breath and silence.

Conflict about a new day.

And softly and easily when you're ready open your eyes.

You are part of the earth,

Sky and stars and you are divinity.

You are part of the earth,

Sky and stars and you are divinity.

Sometimes I enjoy background music but I really liked that this was quiet and just left space for me to focus on the breath after you were done talking. Thank you
