This is Shannon and today we're going to do a grounding meditation.
Make sure you're in a comfortable place.
Don't do this while you're driving.
Give yourself 10 or 15 minutes where you can just relax and let go.
Get yourself into a comfortable position now,
Sitting on a chair or lying down.
Just set the intention to relax,
To release,
To have whatever healing is in your highest and greatest good.
And taking a deep breath in and exhaling.
And taking another deep breath in and exhaling.
And already feeling very relaxed and very peaceful.
Knowing that you have the power to do this at any time in any place,
No matter how hectic life may be,
You're always in control of your energy.
And if this is a new concept for you,
Just understand that every time you practice,
Every time you listen to this meditation,
Every time on your own,
You set the intention to calm your energy.
It gets easier and easier.
And you're able to relax deeper and more quickly than the last time.
The effects of practicing this meditation are cumulative.
Every time you do it,
You find it easier to easily and effortlessly fall into a deep,
Deep state of relaxation and peace.
And continuing to breathe in and out.
With each inhalation and each exhalation,
You find yourself relaxing deeper and deeper down into the couch or the chair or wherever you find yourself.
And if you're in a public place with your eyes wide open,
You find your body and your energy relaxing quickly and easily,
Deeply and effortlessly.
With each exhale,
You find yourself sinking deeper and deeper.
You're already so relaxed and so at peace.
Remember every time you do this,
You're able to fall into this deep state of relaxation quicker and more easily than the last.
And imagine yourself now surrounded in a bright,
Beautiful light,
Whatever color you choose,
Whatever color feels right,
Knowing that this is a light of love and protection and only loving healing energy can make its way through.
And continuing to breathe in and out,
Taking a deep breath in and in the exhalation,
Sending away any energy that doesn't belong to you,
Sending it back to its rightful owner,
Back to the universe,
Attached to it light and love.
Anything that doesn't belong to you,
Anything that isn't yours,
Anybody else's expectations,
Wants,
Needs,
Even any energy that just simply isn't yours,
That doesn't vibrate at the same energy level as your own.
Feeling much lighter and much more peaceful than you did even a minute ago.
And then the next inhalation will be bringing back all of your energy.
So taking a deep breath in and calling back any energy that you've left out in the world,
Any power you've given away,
Any time you felt lost or out of control,
Bringing that energy back to you,
Feeling yourself whole again,
Remembering this old feeling,
The way you came into the world,
Whole,
Peaceful,
Complete,
And continuing to breathe in and out and becoming aware of the parts of your body that are touching the ground,
The chair,
The couch,
Just noticing and feeling them sinking heavier and deeper into those places.
And as they do,
Imagining now a set of tree roots beginning to emerge through every part of your body that's touching the ground,
The chair,
The bed,
Wherever you are.
Imagining these tree roots beginning to spread out wider and deeper and going deep,
Deep,
Deep into the earth,
Deeper than you've ever imagined.
And imagining a beautiful ball of golden light in the center of the earth,
Allowing these roots coming from your body to move down and connect with and wrap around this beautiful golden light and feeling your energy change immediately,
Feeling it becoming calmer and more peaceful with each exhalation,
Allowing any energy that you don't care to carry around anymore,
The energy of fear,
The anxiety,
Any situations or people that don't resonate with you to move down through these roots and deep into that golden ball in the center of the earth where that energy can be changed into something more useful.
You don't need to worry about the how,
The why,
The where.
Just know that it's happening instantly as you set the intention to let go.
And on the inhalation,
Imagine the beautiful golden healing stable energy moving from this ball in the center of the earth up through those roots and into your body,
Feeling that light connecting to those places in your body that are touching the bed,
The chair,
The ground and beginning to move up.
So imagine on the inhalation,
This energy coming up into your body,
Up the back of the body,
Over the top of the head,
And then beginning to move down the front of the body down.
And as it goes down,
Releasing any old situations,
People,
Any old energy that you don't care to hold on to anymore,
And feeling them move down and out through those roots and down into the center of the earth,
And feeling this circular exchange of energy happening up from that golden ball of light in the center,
Moving up into your body,
Up the back of the body,
Through the top of the head and down as you release any of the old stagnant energy down the front of the body and out to the roots back down into that golden ball of light.
As you inhale and exhale,
Feeling completely relaxed,
Completely at ease,
Completely healed,
Knowing that your body,
Your spirit,
Your energy,
Your emotions are healing in the way that is in your greatest and highest good.
Feeling very relaxed and peaceful,
Ready to take on the rest of the day.
Or if you're doing this at night,
Ready to fall into a deep,
Restful,
Peaceful sleep where your body,
Your mind,
Your spirit can relax and rest and recharge.
In a moment,
I'm going to count from one up to five.
And as I do,
You'll find yourself gently and easily beginning to come back into your full conscious awareness,
Unless you're doing this before sleep,
In which case you'll continue with each number to fall into a deeper and deeper sleep.
And if you're ready to come back,

Feeling your body,
Two,
Feeling your body,
Whatever you're sitting or lying on,
Three,
Feeling very relaxed and refreshed,
Four,
Feeling completely aware as if you've had the greatest,
Profoundest nap that you've ever taken,
Five,
Coming back into your body fully and completely,
Coming back gently and easily to your full conscious awareness,
Bringing back with you this stable healing energy and continuing to release anything that you no longer care to hold on to,
Anything that isn't in your greatest and highest good,
Ready to take on the day or ready to continue with the deepest and most restful sleep that you felt in a while.
Taking a deep breath in,
Opening your eyes,
Coming back fully.
