Hello and welcome to your EFT tapping meditation.
We'll be tapping on the topic of being tired,
Being overwhelmed,
Having a lot to do,
Not getting enough rest.
You might be an entrepreneur,
You might have kids,
You might have a big project coming up at work.
Whatever it is that has you racing around physically or mentally.
And some of us,
When I say us because I can personally relate to this pattern,
Can be very resistant to resting.
We live in a world that generally values busyness over everything else.
But I do want to encourage you to rest.
Take naps if you're able to.
Get to bed a little bit earlier each night.
We're going to do some tapping,
Maybe on some of the tiredness,
Maybe even the resistance to rest.
Does that resonate?
Do you feel triggered when you think about taking time to rest?
So before we get started,
Let's close our eyes.
I want you to think in general terms what resonates the most.
The refusal or the resistance to resting.
The feeling of having too much to do and being overwhelmed.
The feeling of exhaustion.
And it may be one or all of those things.
So go ahead and take a deep breath in.
Allowing your eyes to close gently down and put your hands on your heart.
Tune into whatever those feelings are.
Exhaustion.
Overwhelm.
Resistance.
I want you to rate each of those feelings on a scale of one to ten.
One being the least and ten being the most.
For example,
You feel exhausted.
How strong is that feeling of exhaustion on a scale of one to ten?
Go ahead and jot those down.
We'll look back when we finish.
You can take a moment to get your space ready.
Put your phone on do not disturb for just a few minutes.
I have my crystals here.
I have some candles lit,
A little soft music playing.
You ready?
Let's get started.
Take a deep breath in and let it out.
Notice how you're already starting to slow down.
We're going to start on the karate chop point which is located on the side of the hand.
Start tapping gently on the side of your hand with two or more fingers and repeat after me.
Even though I have way too much to do,
I deeply and completely love and accept myself.
Even though I don't have time to rest,
I deeply and completely love and accept myself.
Even though I have to stay busy,
I deeply and completely love and accept myself.
Now let's start tapping through the points.
You can repeat after me or you can change the words to whatever feels most relevant for you.
I'm starting on the eyebrow point.
I'm feeling overwhelmed.
Taking deep breaths in.
I have too much to do.
I'm feeling completely overwhelmed and utterly exhausted.
I have no time to rest.
People are counting on me.
Work or my kids are keeping me busy and they need me.
And you can fill in the blank here to fit your situation.
I think if I didn't have so much to do,
I just wouldn't get anything done.
And so I have to stay busy.
I'm the only one that can do these things.
No one else can do it,
So I'm stuck.
I have to do it and I don't have enough time.
So something has got to give and it's definitely my sleep.
I'm not sleeping enough.
I'm tired all the time and I have been feeling really crabby,
Upset,
Irritated,
Cranky.
Go ahead and fill in the blank with whatever's coming up for you right now.
But I can't rest.
What kind of person would that make me?
You can fill in the blank here.
What kind of mom would that make me?
What kind of entrepreneur would that make me?
What kind of what?
And so I do resist taking breaks.
There's a part of me that's afraid that if I rest,
I'll lose all motivation.
I won't be able to get back up and get moving.
I won't be able to be productive.
I set really high standards for myself and it takes a lot to accomplish everything.
It's not easy now and it's only going to get worse.
So I'm finally acknowledging how deeply tired I am.
I'm so tired.
I acknowledge how deeply rooted my belief is that I constantly have to be achieving something.
I acknowledge that I would really love a nap or a bath.
Go ahead and fill in the blank here with whatever feels good to you.
A massage,
A day at the beach with a good book.
I'd love some time to just rest.
I'm curious.
What if by taking a rest,
I'm actually able to be more productive and be in a better mood and happier and better with the people around me?
What if it made me a better mom,
Employee,
Entrepreneur,
Again,
Filling in the blank?
You know,
Now that I'm thinking about it and now that I'm saying it out loud,
It actually makes sense.
I don't know why I didn't think about this before.
Not only can I rest,
I need to rest.
I need to recharge.
What if I take 10 minutes to sit in the sun with my eyes closed and let it recharge my batteries?
What if I go to bed half an hour earlier every night?
What if we commit to this as a family?
What if I take 30 minutes for myself every day to do something just for me?
Taking a bath,
Writing,
Drawing.
Something that feels decadent because it's simply for fun and serves no other purpose.
Just thinking about that is already making me feel better.
It's already bringing my energy up.
That shows me that it's something that I need to have in my life.
I've gotten out of balance,
But I'm open to shifting back into a state of harmony and ease.
I know that it will make me better and happier and it will make things happen more easily.
I'm choosing to let go of my resistance.
I'm choosing to rest.
I'm choosing to get more sleep.
And I'm choosing to release my resistance to resting.
My value as a person is not dependent on how much I do.
I am enough.
I am a whole,
Complete human.
And I love and accept myself just as I am.
Good.
Take a deep breath in.
And notice how you're feeling energetically right now.
I can feel that my energy has already come up in these few minutes.
Go ahead and rest your hands on your heart or your belly.
Take a deep breath in and notice.
What are you feeling?
What are you noticing?
I want you to take a moment and go back and look at what you wrote down about your resistance,
Your tiredness,
Your tension.
Rerate each of those feelings on a scale of 1 to 10.
Did the numbers go down?
Do you feel more energetic?
What typically happens is that the numbers start to go down.
Remember,
Even if it goes down one point,
That's a major shift.
It really opens your energy up to be more creative,
To be more relaxed.
If the numbers do happen to go up,
And that does happen occasionally,
Don't worry.
It simply means that you've gotten more in touch with those feelings.
If that's the case,
Go ahead and repeat this meditation until the numbers start to come down.
Repeat this meditation daily and notice what happens over the course of a week or a month.
Notice any shifts in your feelings,
Any shifts in your outer world.
I'm wishing you a wonderful day.
