From Shane Piñata,
I'm Colleen Thomas.
This is Daily Magic for Peace.
Today we will honor the beauty within the chaos.
Welcome to the circle.
So today all you need is a flower or something very simple and elegant and beautiful.
And if you don't have anything like that around you,
Feel free to just imagine it.
I welcome you as you arrive here today.
I invite you to take your seat in the circle and maybe take a breath and maybe let go of anything else you were just doing or any thoughts of what you're going to do next and spend a few minutes doing some magic with us.
To calm our nervous systems today and settle in together,
I'm going to invite you to join me in some humming.
I'm just going to hum some basic vocal warmup sounds and see if you'd like to try something as you hum.
With your lips closed,
Try opening your mouth so that the sound can resonate more fully throughout your head and your face.
It kind of will let you touch into that feeling of the vibration of the humming just a little bit more.
So here we go.
Let's do one more.

Or that beautiful item that we are holding or imagining.
How does it make you feel to behold this item?
If you're willing,
Really look at it.
Really interact with this item.
And as you do that,
Simultaneously notice what's happening in your body and what's happening in your heart.
You are in communion with this beautiful object.
If it's a flower,
Really looking at the petals and the details,
The colors,
Thinking about what this flower would look like growing in the wild.
And as you look at this object,
I invite you to again connect with that grounding cord.
Again,
Finding yourself centered,
Centered and looking at this object.
Maybe even finding a little bit of extra grounding through the beauty in this object,
Letting the beauty ground you,
Allowing yourself to ground in the beauty and the peace and the calm it might bring you.
And when you have that sense of groundedness established,
I invite you to imagine you are at the center of the wheel.
And you might picture a big wagon wheel on its side.
You are in the center of the wheel.
And let's stay with this groundedness and this beautiful flower we're looking at in the center of the wheel while also becoming aware that around the edge of the wheel,
It's not quite so calm,
But we're centered.
We're with our beautiful object.
We're centered in beauty,
But we're also aware that around the edge,
Things are happening that maybe we don't know what they are or we can't control them or they're competing for our attention.
And this is a moment to practice being in the center,
Being calm,
Focused,
One with the flower,
One with our grounding,
Even while there are other things going on.
In life,
There are so many times when we might find ourselves at the edge of the wheel spinning around really,
Really fast,
Kind of lost,
Kind of distracted,
Kind of caught up in the drama.
And hopefully there's always a center place we can come to and we can find where we can remember that we are not the chaos.
We are the calm.
We have a center.
No matter how much we get caught up in the drama,
There is a center we can return to.
There's a knowing we can return to.
There is a quietness we can return to.
And that doesn't mean the chaos will stop.
It'll keep going.
But while it's going,
We can come to the center.
We can find the beauty within the chaos.
We can find the peace within the chaos.
And now that we have found this peace within the chaos,
I invite you to check in with yourself and see if this is something you would like to amplify and send out maybe to Ukraine and Russia or if it's something maybe you just like to sort of sit with in yourself today.
I'll leave this one open to you.
This is a very resourcing practice we're doing.
It can certainly be sent out as magic and a prayer.
And it can also be a way that we connect with ourselves in this moment.
And we create more peace on earth with that hokey term,
But it's true,
Peace on earth through bringing peace to ourselves,
Remembering to come to the center of our wheel.
Bringing this moment together as a circle centered together.
May it be so.
Thank you so much for being with us today.
Your presence,
Your energy and your heart make all the difference in healing our world.
Remember to breathe today,
Breathe and expand.
I hope you join us again next time.
Please consider inviting a friend.
That's it for Daily Magic for Peace.
