Transcript

Hi,

This is Michelle Morrison and this meditation is for the sacral chakra,

The swazhi stanza chakra.

This meditation practice encourages your mind to focus on the positive and to let go of the negative.

It also helps to guide your life force energy to the sacral chakra.

So let's begin.

Come into an easy seated position with the ears over the shoulders and the shoulders over the hips or alternatively you might like to lay down on the earth and relax the body back into that support.

Relax your shoulders and as you breathe bring your attention to your sacral chakra.

You might like to take four fingers on your right hand and rest the index finger in the belly button and the edge of the fourth finger is where the sacral chakra is located.

Gently take a few breaths into this area noticing the movement and the sensations there.

Imagine a bright orange circle there like an orangey sun and imagine this orangey sun sending its light right through your body illuminating every cell as you breathe in and out gently and slowly through the nose.

And as you're doing this you might like to chant the sacral chakra mantra which is VAM.

So as you're breathing in,

Resting your mind in the sacral chakra,

You breathe out VAM.

VAM Breathe in VAM VAM Many thoughts come up,

Refocus your mind on the orange circle and the exhale with the VAM.

And as you're chanting VAM you might like to add the Varun Mudra which is touching the thumb to the tip of the little finger and extending the other three fingers.

So now you're breathing in and out and as you exhale you're chanting VAM.

You're noticing the sensation of the thumb resting on the little finger.

The Varun Mudra is very good for soothing turbulent emotions,

Bringing calmness and equilibrity.

Just do three more rounds in your own time.

And then gently let the mudra and the mantra go.

You're breathing in and out noticing any sensations through the body and how your energy feels and how the quality of your mind feels.

If your eyes are closed,

You might gently open them.

Might open and close your fingers gently and maybe scrunch your toes a little and stretch them out.

And then to complete the meditation together,

You might rub the palms of your hands gently together until they become quite warm.

And then placing the hands gently over the eyes and feeling the warmth of the hands into the little muscles around the eyes.

I hope you're feeling a little calmer,

A little more energized.

Until the next time,

Take care.

Namaste.
