This is a grounding meditation which aims to help you relax,
To help you find your footing,
So you can stand tall in any situation.
Let's take some time now to get comfortable.
In a chair,
Feet flat on the floor,
Just let your body relax.
Let's take a big deep breath in,
Feeling our body start to slow down,
Noticing our minds have already started to switch off from the day.
Let's take another deep breath in.
In your mind's eye,
I want you to start imagining yourself in a forest.
It's a leafy green forest and full of wildflowers.
You are alone.
It feels really good just to have some time by yourself.
Time to rest,
Time to recharge your batteries.
As you walk along a quiet path in the forest,
Start to notice how green the trees are around you.
Start to hear the birds chirping.
Notice the dusty path in front of you and feel the breeze on your skin.
You keep walking along the path and up ahead,
You see a comfy wooden bench that sits amongst big green trees that is ready for you to sit down on.
So you take a seat and you start to notice how relaxed you have become.
Take a big deep breath in,
Switch your attention to your feet,
Notice that your feet are planted firmly on the ground,
Connected to the earth and take a moment for yourself,
A moment just to rest.
You start to notice that your feet have now fully connected with the earth.
You keep looking down and notice that your feet have started to grow roots into the ground,
Fully connecting and pulling you into mother earth,
Going deep deep deep down into the earth,
Allowing you to help ground and center your entire body.
You start to notice that mother earth is taking away any negative thoughts,
Any negative feelings that you had before and replacing it with calmness and peace.
Your body is now soaking up positive and nurturing energy from mother earth,
Through the roots connected in your feet,
You can feel all of the goodness rising up into your body.
Take a moment just to enjoy this process.
As you're now feeling more grounded and replenished,
The roots in your feet start to disappear.
We start to separate from mother earth,
Which allows you to stand up and move around.
With a smile,
You say thank you to mother earth for giving you some time to relax,
For giving you a little bit more energy back into your body and you begin to walk back along the dusty forest path in which you first came.
You know this forest is a place where you can come anytime.
It's time to come back now.
So slowly start to wiggle your fingers,
Wiggle your toes.
Let's take a big deep breath in.
When you're ready,
Open your eyes.
You
