Lent: Steadfast Under Trial (James 1:12)

Day Twenty of Lent. This meditation is inspired by James 1:12.

During this meditation, and for the third & fourth weeks of this series we meditate upon the Call to Endurance. Where do we draw strength from, when we feel weak? How can we learn to have grace for ourselves in those moments?

Let this meditation take you deeper in communion with God. And let this series be an edifying part of your Lent practice.

Stand firm like a rock against which the waves batter, Yet it stands, Unmoved, Till they fall to rest at last. "—Marcus Aurelius Hey Hearkeners, Welcome to today's meditation on this 20th day of Lent. Can you believe it? We're almost three weeks in. As we enter into meditation, I invite you to close your eyes. Notice that by simply closing our eyes, Our minds get quieter, Our bodies become more relaxed, Our spirit becomes more still. Let's enter this meditation with this spirit of stillness. 1. Blessed is the one who remains steadfast under trial, For when they have stood the test, They will receive the crown of life which God has promised to those who love God.
