We live in a fast, noisy world that constantly pulls us toward busyness and distraction. This short meditation invites you to explore Stillness as Rebellion—a gentle, counter-cultural practice of slowing down, quieting the mind, and returning to peace. Through simple presence and spacious reflection, you’re invited to rest, breathe, and be still.

Hello my beloveds,

Today's meditation is on stillness as rebellion.

To prepare our hearts and minds for meditation,

I invite you to close your eyes if it's safe and helpful to do so.

Relax your body in a comfortable position you can remain in for a few minutes.

In other words,

Be still.

Adopt an attitude of gratitude and non-judgment and embrace a heart and mindset of peace and loving-kindness.

We live in such a busy,

Noisy world that to be quiet,

To be still can feel subversive.

But,

Being still can feel like rebellion.

Let's take a moment to slow down,

Quiet down,

And be still.

In such a fast-paced world,

To slow down,

To be still can feel counter-culture.

Being still feels like rebellion.

I invite you to embrace this spirit of stillness.

Not only in this moment,

Also in life in general.

Be rebellious.

Be subversive.

Be counter-culture.

Be still.

Thank you for meditating with me today my beloveds.

I look forward to guiding you again soon.

Until then,

May grace and peace,

Light and love,

Be with you.
