Hello my beloveds.
And welcome to our Bible meditation series for mental health.
Today's meditation is on stress.
Prepare our hearts and minds for meditation.
I invite you to close your eyes if it's safe and helpful to do so.
Relax your body in a comfortable position you can remain in for a few minutes.
In other words,
Be still.
Adopt an attitude of gratitude and non-judgment,
And embrace a spirit of peace and loving-kindness.
Stress builds when life's demands outgrow our capacity to carry them.
It strains the body,
Clouds the mind.
And makes rest feel distant.
Stress convinces us that everything is urgent.
Even though God invites us into peace.
Let's take a moment to contemplate what scripture has to say.
Come to me,
All you who are weary and burdened,
And I will give you rest.
" Matthew 11 28 Cast your cares on Adonai.
And God will sustain you.
Psalm 55 verse 22 Peace I leave with you.
My peace I give you.
I do not give to you as the world gives.
Do not let your hearts be troubled,
And do not be afraid.
Spoken by Yeshua.
In John chapter 14 verse 27.
Stress pushes us to hold everything together ourselves.
These passages remind us that rest is not earned,
It is given.
Yeshua offers a peace the world cannot imitate.
God welcomes our burdens,
Big and small,
And sustains us with divine strength.
Thanks for watching!
Where the world gives us constant demands.
Yeshua.
Gives us peace.
Let us end in prayer.
Adonai,
When stress tightens around me,
Draw me into your rest.
Draw me into your rest.
Help me release what I cannot carry and receive the peace you freely give.
Quiet my mind.
And steady my spirit.
Amen.
Thank you for meditating with me today my beloveds.
I look forward to guiding you again soon.
And until then,
May grace and peace,
Light and love,
Be with you.
