Hello my friends,
Welcome to our Bible meditation series for mental health.
Today's meditation is on grief.
To begin this meditation,
I invite you to close your eyes.
Notice that with the simple act of closing your eyes,
Your mind naturally gets quieter.
Your body becomes more relaxed.
Your spirit becomes more still.
Let's enter this space together with this spirit of stillness,
An attitude of gratitude and non-judgment,
And a heart and mindset of peace.
Loving-kindness.
Grief is the deep ache of loss.
The empty space left when someone or something precious is gone.
It comes in waves.
Sometimes soft,
Sometimes overwhelming.
Grief is sacred.
Honest.
And never rushed.
Let's take a moment to meditate upon some scripture passages that can help us in our times of grief.
Blessed are those who mourn.
For they will be comforted.
Matthew chapter 5 verse 4 God will wipe every tear from their eyes.
There will be no more death,
Or mourning,
Or crying,
Or pain.
Revelation chapter 21.
Verse 4.
God heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.
Psalm 147,
Verse 3.
These verses remind us that grief is not weakness.
It is a place where God meets us tenderly.
Yeshua promises comfort,
Not condemnation.
God sees every tear and holds every broken piece of the heart.
Slowly binding each one with compassion and healing.
Holds every broken piece of the heart.
Add or die.
Meet me gently in my grief.
Hold my sorrow with care.
Bind up my broken heart and remind me that you are near to those who mourn.
Amen.
Thank you for meditating with me today,
My friends.
I look forward to guiding you again soon,
And until then.
.
.
May grace and peace.
Light and love.
Be with you.
