Advent, Day Two: The Kin-dom of Heaven is at Hand (First Monday of Advent)

For this first week of Advent, we dwell upon Hope.

This particular meditation is inspired by Matt 3:2, 4:17. 10:7, & Mark 1:15.

To begin this meditation, I invite you to light the Advent Candle of Hope, Be Still, Adopt an attitude of Gratitude & nonjudgment, & embrace a Spirit of Hope.

A number of times, The Gospels tell us Yeshua invites His followers to embrace the calling on their lives by saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Notice that this invitation is not to declare that the kingdom will be here sometime in the far off future, Or even that it is coming soon. Yeshua declares that the kingdom is at hand. It is here now, In this place. Let us rest in that hope, And take a few moments to dwell on what it means for the kingdom of heaven to be at hand in our lives now and always. What are you being called into? What are you being called into right now? The kingdom of heaven is at hand.
