Sound Bath Sessions 198: Hitomi Kaimoto
Hitomi is a sound bath practitioner in Kagoshima and was invited by Lumi Higashi who I had been in contact with. Hitomi's English is quite good and was helpful in communicating and organizing the logistics of the session. Hitomi drove us to a 100-year old villa outside of the city. It was a beautiful space all made of wood, tatami, and shoji screens overlooking a small garden with the smoking Kagoshima volcano in the distance. The morning weather was warm with cool breezes occasionally flowing through the house. The sounds were muted in the villa with the sound of passing cars on the main road was slightly hidden by the splashing of a fountain spout. Perfect location for a sound bath. This 5 minute track even slower in tempo. It paints a beautiful picture with every sound right where they should be. The ambient sounds from passing traffic and birds just give a sense of belonging. You belong here. You are here.
