Hello and welcome,

Dear one.

This practice is for you to taste lasting fulfillment.

This can be good to listen to in times when the longing for something outside of you,

Whether it's your dream job,

Whether it's a relationship,

Whether it's the health of your body,

Whatever is that longing,

It could also be a connection to God,

Source,

Your infinite nature,

Whenever that longing arrives,

It can leave us feeling disillusioned,

Disappointed,

Empty,

Frustrated,

Because it can feel as if the longing is always present,

No matter what we do.

I know this all too well.

And so this practice is going to provide an opportunity to taste true lasting fulfillment that we are really all looking for at the end of the day.

So to begin with,

Let's get comfortable in our body.

We always want to choose the position that feels the most supportive to us.

So you can either choose to sit up with your back straight,

Placing a pillow underneath your bum,

Or you can choose to lay down.

And let's begin to bring all of our attention inside of our body,

Maybe closing down our eyes and really letting and inviting our body to be still.

So inhaling through the nose,

And maybe exhaling through the mouth as we come into this sacred space to taste lasting fulfillment.

So let's bring your awareness to the ache itself.

Where is it in your body?

Instead of asking and wanting it to resolve,

Let's simply sense it in our chest,

Belly,

Throat,

Wherever it lives.

So placing all of your awareness on the ache itself.

See if you can notice the wanting.

What is it that this ache wants?

Maybe it's clarity.

Maybe it's fulfillment,

Happiness,

Joy,

Peace.

Maybe it's the sense of I just want to arrive into that dreamed future of mine.

So what is this ache really wanting?

And when we recognize,

We're going to begin to allow this wanting to be here,

Letting the wanting to be fully seen as we continue to breathe and be here fully.

Now,

Whisper inwardly,

Even this is allowed.

Even this longing is part of life.

Even this longing,

This ache is part of life.

Beautiful.

Now let's drop our attention into the space beneath the ache.

So it's like sinking below waves into the still ocean.

And maybe you notice there's something here that isn't lacking,

Isn't longing.

It's just aware.

It's just present.

What is that space beneath,

Before,

Beyond the ache?

And let's just rest here,

Even for only 30 seconds.

We are letting ourselves taste that fulfillment isn't about satisfying the ache.

It's about being free to hold the ache lovingly.

So once again,

We can have multiple awarenesses.

So one awareness is on the still point,

The space beneath the ache,

The space that isn't lacking,

Isn't longing,

Just awareness,

Just presence.

While at the same time lovingly holding the ache and the longing.

So being both the observer and the observed.

Beautiful.

So I invite you to do this whenever you feel caught in the spin.

Whenever that longing,

That ache overtakes you and makes you believe that you're still missing something,

That you're still not whole or complete.

Over time,

You'll see that the longing doesn't need to vanish for you to feel whole.

And in fact,

Maybe it is this longing that is the most important sacred fire for your freedom.

So let's take a slow inhale and a slow exhale.

Beginning to feel your body being supported by whatever surface is holding it.

And maybe inviting sweet little movements,

Stretches into the body.

Gently opening up our eyes,

Noticing where we are.

As we come back into the ordinary reality.

May this deeper awareness stay with you for as long as necessary.

And you're welcome to come back to this meditation anytime you need reminders.
