Today we're talking about just say yes.
Just say yes.
Find what feels effortless and easy.
Say yes to that.
Whatever feels good and is moving quickly and without resistance,
That is what is in flow.
Whatever is sticky,
Painful,
Toxic,
That's not flow.
Keep finding the place where you feel wildly happy or beautifully at ease and say yes to that.
If there is no joy,
There is no flow.
The universe.
Find what feels effortless.
Hmm.
So as I'm recording during the coronavirus,
A lot of people last days have,
We've been having,
Runs on the stores here in the West Coast.
And so you go to the store and you think I'm going to get brown rice.
And everybody's,
I'm I'm just making this up,
I don't know what they sold out of but,
In particular,
But you want to get brown rice,
That's your desire.
And then,
Actually,
They don't have any brown rice,
It's all been sold out.
So you think,
Okay,
I'm just going to get white rice.
But the white rice is sold out.
And then you just think,
Okay,
I'm going to get oatmeal.
And the oatmeal sold out.
And then you start looking around the store and thinking of this idea of like,
Just find what feels effortless and easy.
And you notice there's tons of tortillas,
Those store really well.
And there's tons of pasta,
For example.
There's tons of canned veggies.
I'm just giving examples of,
Of how when things are blocked,
When the things we want are blocked,
It may be that there's something effortless and easy right there.
Another example might be,
Say,
Oh,
So when I was in,
It was like maybe junior high,
I really liked this one guy in my neighborhood.
He was really cute.
And I was just madly in obsessive stalking crush with him as as a middle school girl can do.
And,
In fact,
He didn't like me,
He didn't even notice me,
He was completely disinterested.
And I'm sure it was very uncomfortable for him to,
You know,
Be stalked in the way that middle school girls do.
So I'm sorry about that.
But what I did find what was easy is that at that time in my life,
I was really good friends with some other neighborhood friends,
Girls and guys,
And just friends,
Right.
And we had a lot of fun together,
We rode our bikes,
We played kickball,
We walked around,
We went to the,
At that time,
This little corner store that sold candy,
You know,
We're in middle school.
And so the thing that I wanted,
The big desire,
This this,
This projection crush of a middle school girl,
It not only wasn't easy,
It was completely blocked.
And then the thing that was easy and effortless was completely enjoyable,
This camaraderie of a group of friends who were just young and hanging out and kind of learning,
Learning who they are.
And we had a lot of fun.
I grew up near a lake.
And so we would wander down to the lake and put our feet in the water or feed the ducks or go out on the dock and look at the waves,
All these things.
Again,
This idea of keep finding the place where you feel wildly happy.
And that's what those friendships were like at that time in my life,
Wildly happy,
Beautifully at ease.
I thought I wanted this one thing,
This one thing that was blocked.
And instead,
The thing that was in front of me,
This camaraderie and this friendship was what was effortless and easy.
So as you're going about your day now,
Look for what's effortless and easy.
You may have in mind that you want one thing,
And that for some reason may not be available.
So you want to avoid trying to push the river because obviously,
It's impossible,
Right?
You can't push a river,
Does not work.
You want to look for the things that are effortless and easy.
And you want to go in that direction,
You want to just say yes to that,
Even if it's not what you had in mind.
Or it's not what you expected.
So many times in my life,
I've had this situation come up.
For example,
Long ago,
I wanted to be in this graduate program for writing.
This is quite a while ago.
And I wanted this so badly.
I was just becoming a writer at that time.
I really needed this graduate program,
Deeply needed it and wanted it.
I couldn't imagine it not happening.
It was my entire future set up to be in this graduate writing program.
And back then,
I did all the application,
I went to the interviews and so on.
So when I was just tried so hard,
And then at the end,
I didn't get into the program.
I didn't get into the program.
And I remember looking at this big block of my plans or this big thwarting of,
Of my forward momentum and thinking,
Well,
If it didn't work that way,
I'm going to do it anyway.
Just this very rebellious nature that is me.
If I if I can't do it that way,
I do it a different way,
But I didn't know how and then I actually don't remember what the easy and effortless thing was.
I have a feeling it might have been writing articles for magazines because I did a lot of that back then.
The next easy thing opened up.
And so from being blocked from graduate school is the reason I'm doing this today.
Without being blocked from graduate school,
I would have never opened,
Spiritually opened,
Intuition wise,
Begun to channel,
Begun to do this work.
It was the universe doing a mighty block.
So that I could just say yes to what was my true calling.
And this is the same for you.
Every time you're thwarted,
Every time you're blocked,
Understand you're being repositioned.
Just say yes to what shows up.
That's easy.
The universe rolls out the red carpet for us.
We do not have to struggle.
All we have to do is follow the path of flow as it's happening.
And you can find this because it feels easy.
It feels effortless.
And you will feel wildly happy and beautifully at ease when you're in a state of flow.
So say yes to that.
