Welcome to today's short morning meditation.

Take a moment to find a comfortable seated position,

Either sitting cross-legged on the floor or sitting in a chair with your feet flat on the floor.

Choose a position that allows you to sit tall and comfortably for about five minutes.

Let your hands come to rest on your thighs and soften your gaze or close your eyes,

Giving yourself permission to fully arrive in this moment.

We'll begin with a big breath in through the nose and a long breath out through the mouth.

Again,

Inhale deeply and exhale completely.

And again,

Inhale,

Exhale.

Now take just a moment to mentally review your day ahead.

You might have a lot going on today or maybe nothing at all.

Are you working or relaxing or both?

Mentally review the day without judgment,

Worry,

Or emotion.

Just acknowledge everything you have and want to do today.

Now letting those thoughts drift away,

Turn your attention inwards and think about a quality you'd like to take with you throughout the day.

Maybe you want to be kind,

Calm,

Joyful,

Thoughtful,

Present.

Whatever feels right for you today.

What does your day look like through the lens of that quality?

How will you approach your job,

Parenting,

Relationships,

Frustrations,

Or triumphs in a way that authentically embodies that quality?

Take the next few moments to visualize your day from that perspective.

Take a big breath in and a long breath out,

Letting go of the visualization.

Another deep breath in,

Slow breath out,

Coming back to the space around you.

And again,

Deep breath in,

Long breath out as you slowly open your eyes.

Thank you for sharing your time and your practice with me today.

I'll meet you back here next time.
