My name is Sangeet and today I have a message for you.
Maybe sometimes we look back and think about what we could have changed or improved or what we could have done right instead of wrong.
Maybe sometimes we look back and we keep feeling guilty for all of what we have or haven't done and said in the past.
And maybe sometimes we spontaneously repeat our actions and non-actions and later on we think,
Oh no,
I did it again.
Now,
First of all,
And if we pay close attention,
This is like watching a movie written and produced by someone else.
All we have to do is to sit,
Watch and evaluate.
And it is so easy to pinpoint all the rights and wrongs of something that is already done,
Right?
Why?
Because when it is done,
We have access to everything that is part of it.
The start,
The end and the results.
And although our thoughts and reflections will always be according to our specific perception,
Still,
Just the fact that we have full access to the entire process already helps us to see further.
Another thing is that many of us have been programmed to see the flaws in everything by being constantly evaluated by everybody around,
Whether family,
Teachers,
Colleagues or bosses,
As if we were in some kind of journey towards perfection.
This is a huge part of our overall society and so it is totally normal that we keep on doing the exact same things to us by combining our natural ability to judge with this added tendency to criticize.
Now,
Because we have access to our past experiences through our capacity to store and to remember information,
And because our minds are constantly projecting whatever it is that goes in there,
We keep on having the opportunity to watch the same movie with the same or additional evaluation as many times as we want or as many times as we allow it to be.
Is this useful?
Yes,
If we use it to create better realities,
But not if we keep insisting on putting ourselves down for whatever conclusion we drew from it.
But then,
What can we do about this?
First,
We consider the movie fully watched and evaluated,
We express gratitude and we keep the gains and the benefits from that same movie and that same evaluation.
Second,
Instead of using our memory to go back to the same stories,
We use it to remind us of how beautiful it is to write new ones.
Third,
We keep replacing the old with the new as if the day was constantly starting from scratch,
Like a fountain that keeps on pouring water,
And every time we catch ourselves going backwards,
We go through all of these steps again until we see ourselves enthusiastic about our new chapters and adventures.
So,
Today,
Instead of remaining seated watching the same movie,
Let's stand up and leave and completely free ourselves from any old stories.
Life is constantly moving on and so are we.
