Welcome to this meditation space.
In this mini meditation,
We will practice the concept of gratitude.
When we practice gratitude,
We learn how to pay attention to the good things,
The good people and situations that are already present in our lives.
In this way,
We become aware of their worth and we feel peaceful,
Fulfilled and safe.
The way we think and the quality of our thoughts affect our daily lives and therefore the more positive thoughts we cultivate,
The less time we will have to think about worries,
Insecurities or fears.
So let's now get started with this meditation.
Find a comfortable sitting position and make sure your spine is long.
Relax your hands and arms on top of your thighs and inhale deeply through the nose,
Filling up your belly and chest with air.
Exhale through the nose,
Removing the air from your chest and your belly.
Once again,
We inhale deeply and we exhale through the nose,
Relaxing the body.
Take some more air in,
Bring your mind to this very moment,
To this practice and now think about something you are grateful for,
Something that happened today,
A moment when you felt happy,
Joyful and fulfilled.
Inhale deeply and exhale,
Very nice.
Now I want you to think about a very special person in your life.
Be thankful to life and destiny themselves for having brought you that person.
Inhale deeply and exhale,
Good.
Now let's concentrate on a skill of yours,
Something at an emotional or intellectual level that you are proud of.
Say thanks to yourself for that.
Inhale deeply through the nose,
Filling up your body with air and exhale.
Keep breathing nice and slowly and feel that energy,
That positive thoughts spread.
Feel the power of this gratitude practice.
Let's now finish off with a mantra that fits this practice perfectly.
It's a mantra that comes from the Isha Upanishad and that teaches us about the concept of fullness.
We are used to situations of scarcity.
In today's society we have learned that in order for me to have something nice,
Someone,
Somewhere else,
Must be giving up something because there is not enough for everyone.
And this way of seeing life encourages us to pursue competition,
To feel fear and greed.
However spiritual economy,
Which is another model to understand life and its processes,
Says something very different.
It actually tells us that universal consciousness,
The source of everything we know,
The energy that creates everything,
Does not decrease or disappear as it gets used.
In fact,
The more I love,
The more love in the world there is and not the other way around.
So love,
Respect,
Kindness,
Gratitude,
They do not diminish no matter how much we use them.
And the mantra goes like this.
All this is full.
All that is full.
From fullness,
Fullness comes and when you take fullness out of fullness,
Fullness remains.
Om pournamadah,
Pournamidam,
Pournat,
Pournamudachate,
Pournasya,
Pournamadaya,
Pournameva,
Dasheshate.
Om shanti,
Shanti,
Shanti.
For all of that,
Be thankful to life and the universe for everything you already have.
Because certainly you can have enough to be happy if you want to.
Namaste and have a wonderful day ahead.
